Low blood pressure?!Hi,
I just got two readings, one of 95/64 with a heart rate of 62, and the other 98/63 with a heart rate of 56. I'm worried this is a bit low and that my heart rate will get slower as I'm on propranolol. Is this normal? What should I do? -
Re: Low blood pressure?!
Have you discussed this with a GP? Propanolol can in some cases cause hypotension and might need to have the dose reduced or even stopped - my mum took a funny reaction to the same drug, and had something called bradcardia (low heart rate, 30 or something). If you're experiencing any symptoms (dizziness, slow pulse) I'd contact your GP or at the weekend, out of hours services.
