Best products for getting rid of small red marks from spots?
So I've been cleansing using Clean and Clear cleanser and my skin looks better, but my spots have been smallish red marks for ages - not exactly spots - less bumpy, not full of white stuff and they don't hurt. I can't get rid of them, it seems like they have been spots that have died down but not disappeared completely. These are in small clusters on my forehead and dotted on my cheeks, chin and nose. It's fine when I put concealer on though they look a bit bumpy but it's just annoying when I take my makeup off and they are still there. I don't wear any makeup during the day on them because I know it will affect them badly.

I have combination skin, sometimes gets a bit oily but I'm getting a bit obsessive with cleansing because of it. I'm also bad because I don't moisturise :0 even though I should it makes my face feel greasy again and makes me feel smothered - I use simple or nivea I think or anything my sister has on occasion but don't like it though, maybe I put too much on?

Anyway could someone recommend my some products - not that pricey that will help me get rid? Better cleansers/moisturisers?

Also will toothpaste or sudocream help?

    Thanks!

Try Palmer's cocoa butter. It's not too expensive and it works fast. I would recommend wearing it overnight because it makes skin look really greasy - but the results the next morning are worth it.

Although you've probably heard this before, drinking a lot more water will help greatly. It sounds silly but drinking 2 litres of water a day, with maybe a bit of lemon juice in it will help greatly.

Cocunut oil might work well too.

Oh I was about to post a whole thread asking about this! The idea sort of freaks me out, is it not too harsh? I have oily, acne-prone skin and it's a constant battle ha, do you think it would help? Annd, have you tried hot cloth cleanser, how does it compare?

You'd think it would be really harsh but when you actually use it you wouldn't even think it was doing anything.it made my skin a tiny bit worse for about a week and after that it was great,i dont have any bumps or lumps now.I used to use a saint Ives scrub and after it left my skin with that like over cleansed tight feeling. I've tried hot cloth cleansers etc but this has been by far the best.even when i'd done my usual cleanse and tone routine and thought my skin was clean I used this and it still removed more makeup.cant recommend it enough!

For spots and red marks like the ones you are talking about, I like products with witch hazel in them and also zinc (garnier do some). Zinc is amazing for your skin.

Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid is the best moisturiser ever. It doesn't feel greasy at all. My skin just soaks in all in and then feels dewy for ages after. LOVE IT! Don't get the one for sensitive skin, just get the normal one, it's much better.

Thank you! I've been hesitant to spend the money in case it doesn't work but I think I will give it a whirl - and if I don't like it I'm sure my mum will

Also, OP, you could try some of the night serums - I use Bare Escentuals and it's really good -

but have also heard good things about rosehip oil - http://www.trilogyproducts.com/store/browse/rosehip

If you want a Clarisonic, keep an eye out for one on BuyaPowa :yep: There are meant to be some more coming up soon. I got mine from there a few weeks ago for £90.
