I don't know why Shumi didn't stick with going round the outside. By the time he moves right, he's in the braking zone. He'd have needed maybe 20 or 30m to pull that move off. Still, I'm not sure about the penalty. The change in direction from Senna wasn't the smartest move. I'd probably call it 50/50 and leave it at that.

Probably because it's beyond Mr. Oversteer's imagination to be competitive in a bad car. I don't blame him for thinking the way he does, he's only good enough for when the car is hooked up for his precise needs. He should know better though, Alonso is in an entirely different league to him.

Tbh i don't think any true f1 fans can seriously think Alonso is an average driver...

Alonso is probably the best on the grid atm or at least equal with the likes of Vettel/Schumacher...

Hamilton is fast and can show excellence but is lacking consistency and Button can drive a fast car quickly but if the car is not set up well/balanced then he can't...

how is he average at best?

He always out peforms his car and in the current field he is the best driver (overall in terms of consistency and speed)

Allowing a bit for never being able to work out NI correctly, I think that the sum of my race bonus' to-date has paid for my HD Sky subscription for the year. Ta Romain and Kimi!!

Not pin-point exactly, but he should have expected movement. It's his job as the following driver to allow for braking, which he failed to do. Senna had stopped his movement to the left in good time before the impact.

Di Resta is a clever driver absolutely, but if you could point to me in the rule book where it states cars MUST allow quicker cars to get past, I'd appreciate it. Overtaken cars, of course, but cars defending position? Absolutely not. Senna had every right to put up a fight.

That doesn't detract from the fact that he is an aggressive driver. It's not a bad thing, of course not, he's driven well in the past with that style, but today it didn't work for him. Aggression doesn't always mean crashes, you're skewing the words.

Jaime Alguersuari, David Coulthard (he doesn't like Schumacher but his comments are still valid), Martin Brundle, David Croft and many others I'm sure.

You plague this thread like you own the place as if know everything there is about F1. You even have your signature devoted to Schumacher, can you not see your own bias towards him? I actually find it quite sad mate.
I wouldn't even bother trying to reason with f1mad tbh, he thinks he's some kind of F1 guru.

I was agreeing with you about Alonso not being average but when i say it it's the final word on the matter? Sure...

Nice, and at the rate Kimi is going lately there could be even more bonus' including a race win bonus or two before the end of the season.

So far we've had 5 different gp winners from 5 different manufacteurs and not any from you lot... Close though for the last two races...

If you get lucky with the tyres round monaco then Kimi could do well.

Well that's how you presented your comment, like it's set in stone. I couldn't care if people agree/disagree, what matters is if it's supplemented by a plausible justification.

Ultimately it's a matter of opinion vs opinion anyway, and on this level nobody's opinion is particularly more noteworthy than somebody else's (with the exception of Lib), but you would hope that people present decent argument instead of trolling like douchebags.

Hamilton has been consistent this season - he hasn't really made any mistakes of his own accord. McLaren as a team have just been terrible.

Do you know why Lotus are a bit passive in their strategy. They seem to be reacting to what other teams are doing. I reckon if they made the first move and called the shots, they could've had a better chance at winning at Bahrain and Spain.
