i have a question in cheney student village, there are ensuite rooms right? but at the time to pick the accomodation they didnt give you a choice like they did in clive booth !
Thats because all of cheney is ensuite. At clive booth they have both so the option is available.

The U1 will take u directly to wheatley from the top end of clive booth as well as warneford. Bout a 5min walk tops. Its about 25mins to wheatley but its what every student does really. not that many live at wheatley. Both those halls r quite lively. Depends on your flat though

Yes they are both pretty equal. Id go for Warneford as its cheaper isn't it?

Tbh i no so many people from different halls. My best friend lived in clive booth and i lived in crescent. I knew so many in cheney and paul kent so just pick a hall. I also no many who don't really socialise with there flat and have friends all over oxford

Best accommodation for an architecture student on Headington campus? I'm guessing the most appropriate would be the closest, yet with decent sized rooms right?

    Any suggestions?

All rooms are about the same size except wheatley (catered) where the rooms are huge.
I would defiantly suggest staying in headington as my friend who does that course spent so much time in the studio doing work all night that it made it difficult to get back to other halls in the early hrs of the morning

Definitely has to Clive Booth, as it is both spacious and closest to Headington campus

If you hold an unconditional offer the deadline for applying is 2nd July so then you should get your response regarding accommodation after that date. At the same time if you have a conditional offer, then you have to wait until after the 27th August to find out what halls you got into. Also, if you have an unconditional offer your contract will be available online and you will need to login from 6 July and must be accepted by 10 August 2012 so I assume it doesn't really matter when you get the letter by post or if you do get one with the final accommodation notice.
    Hope it helped

Does anybody know how you go about applying for summer vacation accommodation in halls? I am a student at a different university and am working in Oxfordshire for 2 months over summer.

The only people allowed to stay in halls at brookes are those that are brookes students!

If you are a conditional offer holder you will find out at the beginning of september. Those with unconditional will find out end of July

    Yes

I have no Idea yet.... I'm going to check out the choices at work later (Ironic since I've been waiting for this acc letter for ages so I can apply straight away!)

I heard the awful sound of my alarm clock this morning telling me to get up

In all seriousness though- good thread. Last year at Bournemouth I knew exactly where I wanted to stay- This year I have no idea yet! As long as its en suite and inhabited by cool people, then I'm pretty much set.

It would be best to find out where your degree is going to be based.

    Ensuite :

Gipsy Lane - Clivebooth / Cheney

    In Headington (Dorset House)

Middle of Nowhere (buses to gipsy lane and wheatley) Paul Kent, Crescent and Slade Park.

    Non Ensuite

Gipsy Lane - Clivebooth / Warneford

Middle of Nowhere (buses to gipsy lane and wheatley) Paul Kent and Crescent.

Wheatley Campus - Lady Spencer Churchill
