    Congratulations on your offers

Look out for courses which offer.......
    - Do any of the courses offer placements- opportunity to build up some experience alongside MSc
    - Are any of the courses accredited by the ESRC? If the MSc is ESRC recognised ie (+1), you could apply for +3 ESRC PhD scholarships, which leaves a PhD as a potential option for you.
    - How is the course assessed? exams? coursework? and what are your preferences?
    - How do you pay for fees? all in one go or in installments? Which MSc is the cheaper option? I went for the Newman clinical psychology ('clinical applications') course as it allowed me to pay per module and was distance learning! I couldn't afford to pay fees up front!
-Look at the actual syllabus for each MSc. Are you particularly interested in some modules on a course as opposed to others?
    - What sort of facilities does the uni provide for MSc students?
    - What sort of contacts etc does the uni have access to in order to help write an MSc dissertation? Does the university have networking opportunities which students utilise for their MSc dissertations?
    - Could look at league tables etc to make your choice, although I would probably not focus too much on league tables in making your choice!

If considering a career as a clinical psychologist, then I would also ensure to build up some experience alongside your MSc and perhaps try and work on getting your MSc work published. Although try not to let experience etc get in the way of leaving with a good grade at MSc level. I think some clinical psychology doctorate courses look out for distinctions and high merits at MSc level to distinguish between applicants, but that depends on university as well.

    Hope this helps!
