    Pakistani Hindus-Time running out...
In 100 years time the population of Pakistani Hindus could be zero:

    http://in.news.yahoo.com/no-country-...s-.html?page=1

According to Delhi's Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), there has been a rapid increase in the number of Hindus coming from Pakistan. Till mid-2011, it used to be around eight-ten families a month. But in the past 10 months, an estimated 400 families have come. They are settling down all over India, in Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. A trickle has become a stream. Hindus, who accounted for 15 per cent of Pakistan's population in 1947, now constitute a mere 2 per cent of its 170 million population. Many have migrated, others have been killed, and yet others forced to convert to survive. In some cases, the dead have even been denied a proper cremation
According to police records, each month, an average of 25 girls meet Rinkle's fate in Sindh alone, home to 90 per cent of the Hindus living in Pakistan. Young Hindu girls are 'marked', abducted, raped, and forcibly converted. Discrimination, extortion threats, killings and religious persecution are driving the remaining Hindus out of Pakistan. They had chosen to stay back after Partition; six decades later, they are no longer welcome
Great evil of partition and its legacy of human poison, so many millions of lives destroyed...

    Brave Lady Rinkle:
On March 26, 19-year-old Rinkle Kumari, from a village in Sindh, told Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry that she had been abducted by a man called Naveed Shah, and pleaded with the highest court to let her return to her mother. It was a brave plea. Hindu women in Pakistan are routinely kidnapped and then forced to convert if they want the respectability of marriage. They are helpless, as they have neither the numbers nor the political clout to protect themselves. As Rinkle left the court, she screamed before journalists, accusing her captors of forcible conversion, before she was hustled away by the police.

The case grabbed headlines, generated impassioned editorials, and highlighted the cause of a persecuted community, the 3.5 million Hindus in Pakistan. It angered liberals in Pakistan and caused the Dawnnewspaper to take a strong position on persecution of minorities.

But Rinkle had dared to raise her voice, and there would be a price to pay
    Price to pay indeed....

Her parents in Ghotki village were threatened, her 70-year-old grandfather was shot at, gun-toting goons roamed outside her house. When she returned to the Pakistan Supreme Court on April 18, she meekly said she had converted to Islam. At a packed media briefing in Islamabad's Press Club, with Shah by her side, the spunk in her snuffed out, she would only say she wants to become an "obedient" wife.
Forced conversions, which have been going on for 800 years when Indian people were brutalized by the invaders across the khyber pass.
    Historian Will Durrant:

Hindus. Will Durant argued in his 1935 book The Story of Civilization: Our Oriental Heritage (page 459):

“ The Mohammedan Conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precarious thing, whose delicate complex of order and liberty, culture and peace may at any time be overthrown by barbarians invading from without or multiplying within. The Hindus had allowed their strength to be wasted in internal division and war; they had adopted religions like Buddhism and Jainism, which unnerved them for the tasks of life; they had failed to organize their forces for the protection of their frontiers and their capitals, their wealth and their freedom, from the hordes of Scythians, Huns, Afghans and Turks hovering about India's boundaries and waiting for national weakness to let them in. For four hundred years (600-I 000 A.D.) India invited conquest; and at last it came.

Mangalore, July 19: A married Muslim woman, who was allegedly forced to convert to Hinduism recently, approached Inspector General of Police (Western Range) on Tuesday and sought protection from Bajrang Dal and demanded action against the culprits.

The conversion of Bushra and her husband Jaffar along with their four little children at Saralebettu Shivapadi Sri Umamaheshwari Temple near Manipal of Udupi district on July 14, had hit the headlines.

However, Bushra, who has now apparently fled husband’s house, accused the Bajrang Dal activists of harassing her physically and mentally and threatening to kill her and her children if she continued to remain a Muslim woman.

IGP Alok Mohan has assured the woman of taking stringent action against the accused after a thorough investigation into the case.

Bushra, daughter of late Ibrahim AK alias Ibba from Valachchil near Adyar, had married Jaffar eight years ago, as per the Muslim tradition. Jaffar, a driver, who was in love with Bushra, had converted to Islam a few weeks before the marriage.

The couple has been leading a normal life and rewarded with four children namely Iqbal (4), Irfan (3), Fathima Yasmeen (2) and Jalauddeen (one and a half month).

In the recent years, Jaffar, whose earlier name was Prashant Shetty, had developed friendship with Bajrang Dal activists and had shifted his house from Adyar Kannur to Sunkakatte in Udupi nearly three months ago, against the wish of his wife.

Bushra, in her complaint, said that she was preparing food for her children on July 14 when a group of Bajrang Dal activists stormed into their house and forcefully took the entire family to a temple.

“When I protested, they threatened me to kill my children if I failed to act according to their wish,” she said in her complaint.

She also accused the priest of the temple of disregarding her plea and forced her to accept Hinduism. The priest continued ‘Pravartan’ (conversion) rituals without paying attention to my pleadings, she said.

“Although I became silent in the temple, fearing that Bajrang Dal activists may kill my children, I did not accept Hinduism and I am still a Muslim,” she said adding that the rumours and false reports that she had been converted to Hinduism had deeply hurt her.

    Harassment

Bushra told the IGP that a Bajrang Dal activist identified as Manohar, harassed her physically and mentally with the support of her husband, after shifting to the new house.

She said that her husband continued to allow Manohar in the house during nights, despite knowing that he was trying to seduce her and inviting her for sex.

    Divorce

Bushra said that she has left her husband’s house for ever along with her four children after undergoing the agony.

“I cannot lead life with my husband anymore. I want a divorce from him,” she said.

    Threat

Bushra also said that the Bajrang Dal goons have threatened her against approaching the police. She urged the IGP to inquire her case in Dakshina Kannada, as she fears to go to Udupi.

Lets shed tears for your ignorance. IT is IMPOSSIBLE to convert to Hinduism. The only way to be a hindu is to be born into a hindu family. Concept of conversion is not present at all whatsover.

While it may be a problem on both sides, two wrongs does not make a right.

What dogra has pointed out is still utterly reprehensible, wrong and not remotely representative of Islam, just as the case in your article is not representative of Hinduism and, again, unacceptable.

Interesting, Hindu population in Pakistan is not rising, forced conversions going on in the meagre population of 3 million.

My ignorance? Can you not read?

It might be hard for you to accept, but it is quite clear forced hindu conversion by Hindu extremists certainly do occur.

I suppose it's not as bad as those Hindu's who "sacrifice children" to their gods.

Think you need to be a bit more concerned with that one ^

Indian Government is not allowing all people who want to leave to leave for India:

Only one out of five visa applications gets cleared. "If visa rules are eased, the majority of Hindus in Sindh would shift to India,'' says Karmani.
why do they want to leave:
Kumar expresses concern about his two college-going daughters. "You can't imagine what it means to be the father of two young girls in a land where minorities are treated like third-class citizens. I receive extortion calls from people for hefty sums to ensure my family is not touched, especially my daughters," he says.
