Dropping out of Uni - what to do? TA? Nursery work?
I have been thinking of a few options, does anyone have any experience of any of these?
    • Nursery nurse - How easy would it be to get a job without experience?
    • Teaching Assistant - I have a week of voluntary work lined up, again, how easy to get a job?
    • Apprenticeship - In either of the two above, though the pay is awful, but I could earn an NVQ out of it

Any other advice from people who have dropped out/never gone to uni. What did you do?

I've just finished doing my A-Levels and have been considering all of these options as I've decided university isn't for me! I have applied for a job at an after school club fir children and may do an NVQ 2 or 3 if I decide to, just something to think about? Is that the sort of thing you mean?

I'm not going to University. Despite everyone trying to convince me otherwise. I've applied for 3 apprenticeships (looking good so far on pay, qualifications and experience as well as job afterwards), and if I don't succeed, then i'll aak for a full-time position at my workplace (currently part-time). OP can I just ask why are you dropping out of uni? Was it just not for you?

On a separate note, teaching assistant jobs are harder to come by than Nursery assistant jobs etc. They will want to see qualifications (any degree I think) for teaching assistants.
