    Cross-qualification
Does anyone know the rules on cross qualifying: ie, if you have done the BPTC but decide to cross over to be a solicitor? I know that the QLTT was abolished a few years ago, and that people will now have to do the LPC as well. But I heard that there are exemptions in certain modules, does anyone know what these are?

    This has just been agreed

http://www.legalservicesboard.org.uk...plications.htm (5th application on this table).

I think it exempts BVC/BPTC graduates from litigation, advocacy, drafting, 2 options and for BVC graduates legal research. There may be a couple more, but it depends on the provider. It's very new, so I think it will mean approaching a provider and agreeing what you will be exempt from.
