Re: How do i get rid of warning points? Its technically 7 days though, but the count starts for when you get the warning points, and after 7 days that many warning points will be removed.(Original post by hannah_dru)
They expire at a certain point in time. Different warnings have different lengths for which they can last. -
Re: How do i get rid of warning points?I'll take your word for it cos I can't remember exactly. I have a feeling some lasted longer but I might be wrong.(Original post by mr tim)

Re: How do i get rid of warning points? It's not quite clear what you mean by "rarely happened"... certainly we regularly get queries in Ask A Moderator to explain why a warning has been issued, and where appropriate it's quite possible for a warning to be reversed.(Original post by mr tim)
Also OP, if you want to appeal against your warning points, you can do so by posting in Ask a mod forum, although I think this possibly has rarely happened. -
Re: How do i get rid of warning points?meant that by having points removed via AAM.(Original post by Illusionary)

Re: How do i get rid of warning points? With fairly recent changes to the warning system, all 10 and 15-point warnings now last 14 days, rather than the weird mix we had before where some lasted 14 days, some lasted 7 and one lasted 10. So offences that are deemed to be serious enough to warrant such warnings get a warning not only larger in size but also larger in duration.(Original post by EierVonSatan)
Some larger warnings last for longer, 10 & 15 pointers can last for up to 14 days.Last edited by Dalimyr; 05-05-2012 at 16:45. -

I did wonder if that was still the case.
Are the 1 point warnings still only 3 days or has that been standardised to 7? -
Re: How do i get rid of warning points?Neither - we don't have 1-point warnings any longer(Original post by EierVonSatan)

All warnings are now standardised at 2, 5 or 10 points - or 15 for those severe cases that merit an immediate temporary ban. Much tidier, IMO. The odd cases like 7-pointers never really made much sense!

6 months and I'm out of date
