In your opinion what's the best goal ever?I'd say this:
Also liked Carlos Alberto's goal in 1970, Maradona's 2nd vs England, MVB's vs USSR, Ronaldinho's toe punt vs Chelsea, Zidane's vs Bayer Leverkusen, Neymar's vs Flamengo, Sinclair's vs Barnsley, Bressan's vs Barcelona among many others

Re: In your opinion what's the best goal ever?I don't know. I haven't seen them all. I do prefer team goals over individual but I will say that Matty Burrows (below) gets my vote over Zola's backheel in the FA Cup.

Probably just saying this 'cos its fresh in the mind.
If I'm honest i'd say there isn't a best ever goal as there are a variety of ways you can score a goal that require different types of skillzz. -

A few reasons:
1) The gravity of the moment. With it being 1-1 in the CL final, no bigger competition in club football, Zidane steps up and scores the goal that turns out to be the winner.
2) The technique was out of this world. He waited in position for the moment it dropped and hit it with his weaker foot. It ended up in the top corner from the edge of the area.
3) THE ****ING SPANISH COMMENTATORS.
Is it overall the most purely stunning goal I've ever seen? No. But comine those three (mainly the third), it becomes the best goal ever IMO.Last edited by Xotol; 05-05-2012 at 15:36. -

Re: In your opinion what's the best goal ever?I still get excited about the Bergkamp ones. The one against Newcastle as well as the takedown against Argentina. They are just so beautiful to watch although perhaps not the best goals ever. Just ridiculously good technique.
