I wouldn't go to Warwick unless you get an offer. The best thing is just to visit the unis that give you an offer unless you are REALLY unsure whether you should apply or not.
    Agreed.

Purehakkei and walkerprince got an offer, the former goes I my school. AFAIK not outstanding grades for my school, but obviously pretty good, maybe she had a very strong PS though

The few I have seen didn't have particularly outstanding grades, they were just comparable to those who got offers for the straight course.
Hmm alright.. They must have written some extra-ordinary PS's then..

Me too! Literally kicking myself for it, it was an easy paper reflecting on it but certainly the traps were there.

Think I got 69 (lol) which I hope is 90

    :cry2: too :console:

I found the trig question hardest. Think it was question 5? with the Cosecs etc. Mind went blank and was stuck on it for ages -.-

I love proofs. But yes I getcha, if you forget your identities you're in a rather deep hole.

    Are you a 2013 applicant?

Yep but taking a gap year. This was the first time sitting C3 and I've completely messed up. Honestly think I've got like a C for that paper. Made silly mistakes throughout the paper like stating alpha in radians for question 8. For the max value taking away 7 and making it 18 instead of adding 7 for 32 etc.

It's so frustrating because I worked incredibly hard for it, was getting 90% + in every past paper and I end up screwing up the real thing.

What makes it worse is that C4 is even harder so my chances of an A are completely out if the window even though I did quite well on my other maths exams, feel like crying.

Also, I won't be able to retake because I will be on a gap year and I heard universities don't consider you if you have to retake a unit in your gap year. ffs

Yes the fact it was an easy paper makes it worse. I think I got around 69 also

My mistake is worse. I used the product rule instead of the quotient rule. 3/4 marks gone

Haha, doing well in this exam would just be for personal satisfaction so I'm not very motivated!

But being in a different country will be amazing, shame there isn't more of a culture of British students going to America. What are the conditions of your offer and how much will you be paying?

I found the paper quite easy except the trig question. My mind indeed went blank and I kept mixing up the identities... The a) part was weird anyway. Expressing it in terms of cos(theeter????) and sin(again greek letter). There is more than just one possibility... I suppose I will get some M marks but other than that, I will lose at least 4 marks there... Hopefully I'll still get 69 or 70 out of 75 if I didn't make any silly mistakes (which always happens somehow )

So guys are you ready for C4? Although I will only have one week to revise for it I feel much more comfortable with it than with C3.
