Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.Noooooooooooo.(Original post by the man from space)
The driving examiners look more towards the safety aspects, i passed my test two weeks ago and i didnt even do the corner reverse properly, i felt that i had failed but at the end of the test she told me that if it wasnt for my safe driving, i would of failed.
Jesus wept. -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.Meh, I got 11 minors. The number doesn't tell the whole story - almost all were for driving too carefully. Had my license for a decade now, no accidents yet.(Original post by Old School)
Dude, you got 11 minors. Your driving is not fine. -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.Dude. You made mistakes. They may have been minor, but on the road they can be fatal. You've failed, and that's that. You can't appeal like you do in GCSEs and A Levels where you think Mr. Examiners is being mean and unjust. He failed you for your own sake, so that you could reflect on those minors you made and damn well not do them again in your next test.(Original post by TrueUnitedFan)
I was wondering do I stand a chance of an appeal going in my favour? It's crazy, for the full 45 minutes, my driving was fine, and I wasn't in any serious situations where I could of get a serious for.
...
It's just madness, to fail for this, when nothing serious happened is crazy, Im so angry and ****** off.
...Besides, at least you did better than I did when I first took my test. I think, if I remember correctly, I made... 17 mistakes? Look at what you did wrong, and figure out how to improve. That's what I'm doing.

Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.
On my second attempt I got 0 minors and 1 major, curse not being taught how to merge with dual carriageways, anyways long story short the geezer who failed me on my first attempt passed me on my third and this was after having pulled a smooth move instead of a bit of heavy braking when some plonker was in the yellow box blocking my exit from a roundabout.

Do you have skype? If so send me your addy so I can laugh at you down the camera -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.
OP, I know you said you weren't close to the other car but my instructor did something really useful with me one lesson - she made me sit in the passenger seat and she drove round for about 10 minutes, deliberately making mistakes and asking me to point out what mistakes she'd made. It was so much easier to see how close she was getting to parked cars and a bit scary too! So, maybe you weren't as far away as you thought?

Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.2 minors back at ya!(Original post by sarahthegemini)
I only got 4 minors on my test, and no majors
You are a very bitter person, stop being a whingey little bitch and STFU.

OP keep trying its not meant to be easy. -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.11 minors is pretty bad anyway so it's probably best you didn't pass(Original post by TrueUnitedFan)
Hi, Just had my test and i failed, 11 minors, and 1 serious, for reverse parking on a hill.
Basically, I was on a hill, doing the reverse parell parking I did the parking fine, and at the end of the test, the examiner failed me because I was going to close to the car and he said I was going to hit the car and he was going to put his foot break down (if i was going into the car, why didn't he put his foot down?) my car wasn't going near the car at all.
I was wondering do I stand a chance of an appeal going in my favour? It's crazy, for the full 45 minutes, my driving was fine, and I wasn't in any serious situations where I could of get a serious for.
The thing is my driving was fine, and he's a liar saying I was going to go into the car, If I was, why didn't he step in? It's just ******** reserving, he could of passed me and said, listen, go back and practice my parking, but the thing is... I DID THE PARKING FINE!!!!
It's just madness, to fail for this, when nothing serious happened is crazy, Im so angry and ****** off.

Dude, you got 11 minors. Your driving is not fine.
Stop whining, go practice and do the test again. -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason.
Sometimes examiners can fail you on the grounds that they just felt you too dangerous a driver, whether or not you had real serious faults. On my first test I swerved slightly onto the other side of the road while changing gear (the gear stick got stuck) and although there were no other cars around on my side of the road or the other side, so it was therefore a minor fault and I had only made 2 or 3 other minor faults, I still got failed for it, cause Mrs Examiner lady just didn't feel safe.
It's fine. I learned from all my mistakes in time for the second exam and I aced it, and became a much better driver from it. Failing driving tests is good! -

What were yours for?
1 exit signal too early -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason. It all depends on who you get. My brother got failed the other day because another driver illegally overtook him at speed, the examiner said "you gave him road rage because you are so terrible at driving" and failed him there and then. One week later my bro passed with a different guy, 5 minors. He's driven me a few times, his driving is perfect. You just have to acknowledge that a lot of examiners are a-holes, and keep going.(Original post by TrueUnitedFan)

Rumor has it you are more likely to pass at the end of the month than the start, because they are trying to hit their targets. -
Re: ********* examiner failed me for a stupid reason. That's nonsense. There isn't any 'target' they have to meet for passes and fails in a month.(Original post by mikestraws)

It based on how you drive, not whether an examiner hasn't failed/passed anyone that day/week, etc.
