Me and my friend often pontificate after watching various zombie films what we would in fact do if we were in the character's predicament. As of late, the Walking Dead seemed to perfectly match what a party should do if they woke up one morning and the entire world had been ravaged by 'zombies', be that the 'undead' or the 'rage-infected virus'.

I would pretty much doubt the chances of nearly anyone surviving the zombies on the remake of the Dawn of the Dead or 28 Days Later, those guys can run! But anyway, onto my point, if you yourself woke up one day, in any one of the zombie scenarios that you've seen on a film, what would be your plan of action?

I think I would avoid a Shaun of the Dead style pub lock-in and head down to the local Tesco in one of the double decked buses that go past my house ha, bust into the place (obviously not with the guns that everyone always insists they would have; not like i'd find a gun in suburban Oxford :P) probably die in the process from the overwhelming amount of people that are usually there, but my logic is that i'd be able to close the shutters and exterior doors, clear the place with a group of mates and sit tight munching on the food and 'waiting for all this to blow over'.

Fool proof plan right? What about yours?

Live on the third floor of a block of flats. Barricade the stairwells up with all sorts of **** and disable to lift so it only works when I want it to. Keeping me safe from the world below, but not completely cut off for when its zombie killing time.

I thought this was the approach of the father and daughter in 28 Days Later; that's true that they did survive for a long time longer than most but they also ran out of food and water pretty quickly, that's the only problem with that ;P

Otherwise following that guy's rules in Zombieland would usually keep you alive I would expect !

They also didn't build the barricade well enough. FOOLS!

Anywho, I've always thought breaking into a supermarket and living there would be an exceptional idea.

All the food you could ever want, along with utilities, lighting, entertainment, weapons (knifes and toasters, we're not stupid enough to sell firearms in our supermarkets yet). You have nice long corridors to see zombies coming from a mile away. Plus most supermarkets have shutters and barriers when they're close to stop from shoplifters/zombies.

My village is flat, bounded on three sides by a river bend, grows crops and livestock, and is chock-full of farmers with shotguns, heavy-duty machinery, pick-up trucks etc.

I would head to the nearest tesco's and the nearest outdoors shop to get clothing and get loads of outdoor survival stuff and ****.

I would then drive to the nearest Military Barracks if it is desserted then I would go to the armoury and take a sniper, a machine gun and a few hand guns and find the correct ammunition for them. I would also get Military clothing and supplies and I would ditch my car and take either a Miliary Truck or if I can find one then a tank and spend the day working out how to use each gun and drive the tank and find a bomb sniffer dog like the one from I Am Legend to keep me company lol. I would then drive to the hospital in the tank and take as many medical supplies as possible. Next I would drive about the country to search for any relatives and pick any up and then finally find a hot young female who is on her own and in need to help and take her with me for sex lolololol.

Then either I would head up to the Scottish Highlands and find a remote house barricade it put up fences and trip wires that could be easily defended and has views in every direction for miles around so any zombies can be easily dealt with by the sniper before the get anywhere near us I would then live my life with my companions surviving by hunting deer, cows, sheep etc... and just generally living off the land untill help arrives. The problem with going on a boat is you would need to return to land eventually and would end up running into a herd of zombies.

If i'm honest i'd probably curl up in a corner and cry, as well as peeing my pants.
Although i'd like to be shooting guns and blowing up zombies in reality I wont be even though it sounds super cool.

Supermarket is a bad idea. Everyone will be heading there. As soon as things start to go bad, I'm down the corner shop buying things up. I'm not going to need that money anyway. Then I intiate plan Z. Me and a couple of well prepared friends high tail it up to the local primary school with our supplies. Fenced all around, to about 7ft, large fields of oepn ground for zombies to have to cross from 3 sides, should they get through the fences. Security doors on the outside, second floor that is easily blocked off, two or three outbuildings, a ton of hockey sticks, cricket bats and many, many other things, and then of course tons of chairs and tables for barricades should the zombies break through.

So, after that, we kit ourselves out in the cricket pads they have there, load up our crossbows and airguns, which we already have, give blunt weapons to those who were not so well prepared, and start zombie killing through the fences.

Well, from the zombie movies that I've watched, the protagonist usually gets laid and survives until the end. So I guess I'd do that.

what kind of zombies are these? if they're the typical shuffling, moaning, hopeless ones that look like tramps on ketamine, I'd have no problem, just go round knocking their heads off with an axe or whatever. As long as you didn't accidentally fall asleep in public somehow you'd be fine. If they're of the fast and ferocious 28 days later variety, I'd probably just barricade myself in some basement or tall building with as much tinned food as I could find. Infact, the best thing to do would be to get some people together and take over a cruise ship or something, and just head out to sea for a bit to wait it out.
