I wasn't doing them, but the Corfu Incident was in 1923 when an Italian general, called Tellini, was trying to work out where the border between Albania and Greece should go, but he was attacked and killed. The Italian government then insisted that the Greeks pay compensation but they refused (it wasn't the Greek government who did it) and Italy started shelling Corfu (an island off the coast of Greece). The League came to some sort of agreement but it was then overturned by the Conference of Ambassadors so Italy got its way. It showed the League to be uneffective when dealing with a major power.(Original post by TrynaPass)
I did:
The French Revolution
The League of Nations and UN
The Russian History Questions
my take:
it was hard i was tear filled. many people in my centre even left some blank. why was it so difficult? i never even heard of the corfu incident. -
Re: IGCSE Edexcel History 28th of May 2012 Threadi wrote about the double V campaign and how roosevelts second new deal imporved the life for farmers. in the war americans got more equality because there was more jobs, so their help was needed towards the war effort- and it was the first time they were allowed to be doctors too(Original post by leafy9)
How did people answer the USA 1929-45 question c)
The 8 marks question about the civil rights position of black Americans during 1941-45? -

This was posted from The Student Room's iPhone/iPad App and also from an iPhone but not an iPad and why isn't it an iPod app? -

Probably. But if the examiners' report shows one question was really hard they might weight the paper(Original post by TrynaPass)

Re: IGCSE Edexcel History 28th of May 2012 ThreadYes you are absolutely correct; however, will you be doing history in A levels? It seems that you really like history, so why not go for it?(Original post by Mazzini)

What about you? -
Re: IGCSE Edexcel History 28th of May 2012 ThreadNo. I won't be doing A level; however, I've started with ABE UK (association of business executives) and I'm currently doing the level 4 diploma course. I will sit the ABE exams of level 4 this December.(Original post by Mazzini)

Re: IGCSE Edexcel History 28th of May 2012 ThreadOh nice, do you want to go into business then? It's not my cup of tea, unfortunately(Original post by gabriel 41)

Re: IGCSE Edexcel History 28th of May 2012 ThreadYes a business line but not exactly business; I will do ABE for 6 months and then do ACCA (an accounting course) and then go into accounting. So I'll become an accountant. I find this route quick, easy and less stressful compared with the A levels.(Original post by Mazzini)

Re: IGCSE Edexcel History 28th of May 2012 ThreadHaha, I'm interested in lots of (different) nerdy stuff that'd you'd probably find really boring...(Original post by gabriel 41)
Ya well I'm a boring person in life so it's natural that I'll go for "boring'' subjects; however, those boring subjects are really passionate and interesting for me. I find history really really boring though
so we're two different person though.
