    Usain Bolt race row?

Really dissapointed in the blatant racism. Not surprised tho, here in the UK a lot of Jamaicans are very outspoken and make a lot race related comments.

Once you go black, you never go back....

But still, she wouldn't be with him if it wasn't for his status... end off.

TBH she is far hotter than any Jamaican women I can think of. I wouldn't say he suffers form a "white woman complex". I'd say he suffers from a hot woman complex.

In before 'they're stealing our athletes!'

I suppose we weren't going to hear about this from any other media because it's anti-white news, which is suppressed to make white people believe we are somehow privileged by not ever feeling racism.

Racism has always worked both ways. Although I'm not sure this racism, its more the national hero of Jamaica is getting serious with a non Jamaican, pretty sure there would be anger if she was non Jamaican anyway. Its hardly unheard of, can you imagine Prince Harry marrying a black girl, not sure that is even allowed?

That said there is a tendency for black men to see a white wife as a status or trophy symbol, a remnant from the past and segregation.

In the words of the ever so wise Mr West

"but when he gets on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl"

The same thing happened with Boris Becker in Germany when he went out with a Black woman.

    Standard:

    But COnsider:

i" then showed her the actual numbers from that study (3.7% of married black american women and 8.4% of married black american men had a non-Black spouse), proof that while it’s technically true that african-american men are more likely to marry outside of their race than african-american women, the difference between 91.6% and 96.3% is hardly worthy of any “all ya’ll n*ggas is playing in the snow” hysteria."

In all seriousness, I know there are religious restrictions on whom the Royal family can marry, and the Queen has to approve marriages for those directly in line for the throne. I don't know enough to be sure, but I'm sure there would be something said if he did.

I KMTd when I read this, what a suprise. Just like Black footballers in the UK.

A comment left on the site summed on my view on this

I don't think the Jamaican people are being 'racist' (let's really think about the definition of that word before we throw it around), rather they're questioning Bolt's motives and how black men are being raised in society today. Their point of view is that who's betting when Bolt was younger and before he became rich and famous, he dated black women. Now he's made something of himself, it appears black women aren't good enough. And it's not just famous black men, it's black men in general. There's issues around dating white girls instead of black girls because black women are too 'demanding' and 'high maintenence' and light skinned women being deemed more attractive than dark skinned women and it's really sad. Black men are being conditioned into thinking that either light skinned, mixed race or white women are better options than the beautiful, intelligent black women out there. If his girlfriend is a good woman then great. I just hope he's not based his partner selection on race.

That's bull****. He was raised in Jamaica hence his statistically likely to be dating a black women. Whereas now, his all over the world and hence sees a lot of more different races (specifically white) hence it follows that he will probably date a white women. It has nothing to do with the BS provided there, that's just **** dark-skinned women say to make themselves feel better. There's nothing wrong with not dating black women, this is the 21st century, we accept interracial dating. Whites make up the majority in both America and Britain yet black women still think it's about race and not just the fact that they're statistically more likely to run into a white women than a black women considering they're the majority.

He still resides in Jamaica, he lives in Kingston. He trains in Jamaica, his girlfriend lives in Jamaica. The idea he is statistically more likely just isn't true.

Not that there is anything wrong with it. IMO.

I guess it's appropriate that Usain Bolt is involved in race row.

I guess Usain Bolt is now the equivalent of a Prince in Jamaica, typically he would be seen as a role model... what will all those young black boys of jamaica grow up thinking...( I get a "white gf") not that there is anything wrong with this.
