I think I already know the answer to this but is it EVER acceptable to email the Director of Studies who interviewed you to clarify a point made inarticulately during subject interview??

I know it is very probably ridiculous, but having the email address of said Director of Studies and knowing that I REALLY messed up making a fundamental research point during interview which also made up the main reason of subject choice is a little too tempting...

Any advice welcome...

If you have an offer, then since you have an offer, you clearly didn't do badly so what's the point?

If you don't have an offer, they've probably forgotten you and your point and they're not going to change their mind about you so what's the point?
