Uni of Southampton Residences

Hi,

I will be studying Accounting and Finance at University of Southampton next year and Im currently applying to a residence. I was just wondering about your opinions about each residence so I can decide easier which should I apply to.

Thanks a lot
Hi!

Our blog has an entry where we've interviewed people from the different Halls of Residences at Southampton University to get their opinions on the social life, convenience and facilities in their halls. It should give you a better idea of what to expect from each halls.

Take a look at http://southamptonsas.wordpress.com/category/halls-of-residence/

Also, for any more information at accomodation at Southampton uni, find out facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/SouthamptonSAS

Hope that helps!

Basically
Glen Eyre is nicer but more expensive and less frequent when catching a bus
Monte is cheaper. It does look like a prison but then it is very accessible and you got McD, Burger King and Tescos round the corner. Monte rooms can be below standards as they are quite old but you can be lucky and get one of the newer ones, like I did

Btw...im doing the same course as you..hope you enjoy it :colondollar:
hey, how far of a walk is monte/glen eyre away from the city centre, portswood (heard its pretty good for student nightlife) and the avenue campus as i'm doing languages?

hmm..
u wouldnt consider walking from halls to city...
that's what u've got a free bus pass for

glen has direct buses to avenue whereas from monte u'd need to switch over at highfield
