    Have you ever...
Changed the way you live overnight (whether following an event, epiphany, etc) and lived differently from then on? I say that as it is quite common to have these but then quickly slip back into old ways. Anyone here stuck at it?

Two weeks ago tomorrow I finally decided to stop eating junk food and start exercising every day (instead of eating crap and lounging around doing nothing) in order to lose the weight I've been complaining about for years. Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it.

I was almost pathologically sedentary until April of 2011, when it became necessary for me to manage my own commute to and from work. I now cycle eighty miles per week (in temperatures ranging from 25 to -3 degrees centigrade), and have a resting heart-rate of 51, so I'd say that the resulting transformation has been fairly momentous.

Mine is pretty minor but I'm glad I managed to stick to it! I used to eat 3-4 packets of crisps every day and it was basically my go-to snack. One day I decided it was a terrible habit so I vowed that I'd only allow myself 1 packet a day going forward. That was over a year ago and I've still managed to stick to it. It might seem like quite a small achievement but I think being able to exercise any amount of willpower to stop yourself from developing or continuing a bad habit is a positive thing .

    Yes!

New Year's Day 2011 I woke up 18 and a half stone, decided I was going to lose 105lbs, and have now lost 91 of them so it's going well!

I stopped watching porn. Just thought to myself "Does this improve my life?" and I decided no, so I stopped.

I will still watch amatuer porn and look at soft stuff

Yes. If a person is motivated enough, why not?

A person could be a staunch theist one day, and the exact opposite the next. It depends on the given environmental factors and triggers.

Do you mean that amateur porn which has a suspiciously professional camera crew and starring a world famous porn actress auditioning for a role.

I gave up smoking 13 days ago.

I worked out that, with the amount I spend on smoking, I could go to the Maldives every year.

So I stopped the next morning. 20 a day for 8 years.

Let's be honest, amateur porn just means the stars are young. They usually don't have huge bazooka fake breasts either.
