Is Isaac Newton still considered to have been a Christian?

    Is Isaac Newton still considered to have been a Christian?
    I heard that he had notes disregarding the divinity of Christ, but I thought Christianity was based upon the belief of Christ as Savior hence Christ-ianity.

    he followed a form of Nontrinitarianism, basically saw worshiping Jesus as God blasphemy. He was still a Christian though (the trinity concept is rejected by a number of denominations) he probably to some extend viewed Jesus as either a prophet or messenger so still believed him to be a savior and possibly the son of god just not god incarnate.

    Yes, although he was a non-Trinitarian.

    I thought Newton was a deist.
