Re: Why are there more male criminals than female criminals?
.... Because women have a much easier life than men do. Men are expected to be strong and bring the money in. It is much more socially acceptable for women to stay at home and look after the children ect, thus reducing the need for them to commit crimes.
In the current economy it is extremely difficult to find work and so many people will turn to crime in order to put food on the table and a roof over their head.
I committed a crime last year in order to avoid homelessness. I'm not proud of it, but I'd do it again. -

Re: Why are there more male criminals than female criminals? Why? Thats just retarded. It makes about as much sense as me being ashamed of having green eyes because some other people with green eyes are criminals. -

I'd assume that women are generally scareder than men. In the past men should be always up for dangerous situations when hunting or fighting for dominance over other males so their inhibition treshold is easily bypassed.
I think there are plenty of female thieves though because it requires sneakiness instead of brute strength.
Don't feel ashamed for the choices other individuals make. -

It might be scaredness, but I think a lot more men would be discouraged from crime if they weren't as strong as they are, or conversely, a lot more women would turn to crime if they were more physically capable. Or at least, believed they were more physically capable, so I suppose it does come back to fear.(Original post by osmos)

Re: Why are there more male criminals than female criminals?Agree but some people are like this for some reason. Probably because others like generalising different genders, cultural groups, religions so much which in turn makes them feel bad(Original post by Heavenly_Blues)
So do pathetic apologist posts like these.
Just because some men choose to commit crime, doesn't mean that we should collectively be ashamed.

Still I'd never commit a crime unless my life was in danger or something.
