Re: AQA Human Biology unit 4 (HBIO4) - 15th June 2012
I thought the paper wasn't too bad, the one in January was awful I have no idea how I actually managed to get an E!
I'm worried about the essay in unit 5 my teacher gave us the headings of past paper essays and nothing else so I don't know how I'll write this essay! -

The ones about PCR, I really don't like genes and I wasn't too sure about the muscles question but I wrote at least something to try and get a few marks!

The PCR one was a little annoying lol. Muscle contraction was so random! I didn't know what to write really
Just put whatever I could think
I liked it more than past papers but it was pretty hard overall
hopefully we've done good

Re: AQA Human Biology unit 4 (HBIO4) - 15th June 2012On all the past papers I've been getting over 60% which is what I need to get a C overall just hoping the markers are kind haha!(Original post by Doctor.)

Re: AQA Human Biology unit 4 (HBIO4) - 15th June 2012I got 2 um, I might be wrong , but Using my ruler the scale (which was 1um) was 1.6 cm. each sarcomere was 4.8 cm, so 4.8/1.6 = 3 um,(Original post by alice.egh)
what did people get for the length of the contracted sarcomere?
after contraction the size is 2/3 of the original so 2/3 * 3= 2 um, again this is how i did it. so dont trust me . -
