Science A Biology repeat

Hello,

I done my AQA Biology A Science (i think thats what its called!) exam during February and got the results in March.
I didnt do as well as i had hoped, so this week i was talking to my teacher about repeats which are taking place on the 12th or 13th of june (not sure which date, but its during that week) but he said that if i repeat the exam and do worse, the result i get will be the lower one. I always thought that you get the higher mark but maybe AQA are different?

If someone knows do you get the higher of the two marks or the newest one.
