    BSc or MComp?
I have been looking at computer science degrees and these two keep appearing.

    What exactly are the two?

I know that BSc is the basic undergraduate bachelors degree.
    But what is MComp?

I assume the M means masters but I have been told that it isn't really a masters it is worth less than a real masters.

If I have the choice between the 2, which should I choose?
Do employers see any difference between them?

Some employers care about the difference, some don't. For research positions MSc>MComp. I would say the MComp is better value than a MSc since you get a tuition loan, grant and everything.

You should pick MComp since it's easy to change from MComp to BSc if you want to but slightly harder for BSc to MComp since your student finance contract stipulates giving you money for the number of years of the course you applied for, and getting more money for another year is at their discretion.

MComp is a masters but undergraduate masters. It has a lot of overlap with postgrad masters but the postgrad masters tend to be more research intensive and maybe the content harder.

oh, so MSc is the postgraduate and MComp the undergraduate names of the courses of the same subject (computer science)?

If an MComp is completed, can a MSc in computer science still be taken later if wanted?

    Yes.

Yes but there is no point since you'll have done a lot of the same content. I would say just doing a MComp offers best value for money, not sure how that changes with the new fees though.
