    Yeah

    (x^2-3)/x
    No.

    You are in year 10, right?

    zed you are clearly studying mathematics that is too difficult for you right now. You need to have a good understanding of a) algebra (particularly factorising) and b) fractions before tackling this topic.
    Which I think I do

    And I was only joking with the other question

    its x(x^2-3)/2x

    its x(x^2-3)/2x
     \dfrac{x(x^2-3)}{2x}

    Can you see anything common in both the numerator and denominator?

    What about

    \dfrac{x^3-3x}{2x}
    I'm not the OP, but I've also been having difficulty with Algebraic fractions, so for this question is this the answer:

    Spoiler:
    Show
    \frac{x^2-3}{2}

    Yes

    x^2-3/2

    Then TSR has its own Gatis Kandis.

    Still incorrect

    Still ... if this is a one then I guess you do not really need the help

    Yes

    x^2-3/2

    Have you done brackets?

    (x^2-3)/2

    Far better to test the patience of all those who give up their time to help you I suppose.

    Without the brackets the answer is wrong.

    I've seen in some markscheme that the answer is without the brackets.

    Thank you much appreciated. Its just that in the markscheme sometimes the answer is not in brackets.

    Can you give me the link to that mark scheme?

    By the way, are you in year 10?

    If it is written with a long fraction line then brackets are not needed, but with the short line brackets MUST be used.
