Re: Algebraic FractionWhich I think I do(Original post by Mr M)
zed you are clearly studying mathematics that is too difficult for you right now. You need to have a good understanding of a) algebra (particularly factorising) and b) fractions before tackling this topic.
And I was only joking with the other question
its x(x^2-3)/2x -

Which I think I do
And I was only joking with the other question
its x(x^2-3)/2x
Can you see anything common in both the numerator and denominator? -
Re: Algebraic FractionThen TSR has its own Gatis Kandis.(Original post by zed963)
Which I think I do
And I was only joking with the other question
its x(x^2-3)/2x -
Re: Algebraic Fractionyes(Original post by ThatPerson)
I'm not the OP, but I've also been having difficulty with Algebraic fractions, so for this question is this the answer:

Re: Algebraic FractionStill incorrect(Original post by zed963)
Which I think I do
And I was only joking with the other question
its x(x^2-3)/2x
Still ... if this is a one then I guess you do not really need the help -
Re: Algebraic FractionFar better to test the patience of all those who give up their time to help you I suppose.(Original post by zed963)
I just cba adding brackets tbh -
Re: Algebraic FractionWithout the brackets the answer is wrong.(Original post by zed963)

Re: Algebraic FractionI've seen in some markscheme that the answer is without the brackets.(Original post by steve2005)
Without the brackets the answer is wrong. -
Re: Algebraic FractionThank you much appreciated. Its just that in the markscheme sometimes the answer is not in brackets.(Original post by Mr M)
Far better to test the patience of all those who give up their time to help you I suppose. -
Re: Algebraic FractionCan you give me the link to that mark scheme?(Original post by zed963)
I've seen in some markscheme that the answer is without the brackets.
By the way, are you in year 10? -
Re: Algebraic FractionIf it is written with a long fraction line then brackets are not needed, but with the short line brackets MUST be used.(Original post by zed963)
I've seen in some markscheme that the answer is without the brackets.
