End of the 17-year premiership of the right. Early stats have Hollande at 51.9% of second round votes to Sarkozy's 48.1%. Looks like Hollande managed to pick up most of the disgruntled FN voters, as well as the whole of the left. This is the Fifth Republic's second ever left-wing president, somewhat historic!
What do people think? Successful end to an "anyone but Sarkozy" campaign or a continued belief in Hollande as the right man for the job? Will be interesting to see who he picks as PM (provided, of course, that the likely happens and PS win the general election) and who his PM picks for the cabinet.
