Is there any way to stop all the thread update emails?
Why do you do this to me, TSR?

When I see that there has been a swift increase to my inbox count since I last checked it, I can't contain myself with excitement at the thought of reading something interesting.

But lo and behold I click "inbox" and there they are, 13 pointless thread update emails. I cannot explain the rage and disappointment I feel once I realise I've been spammed again.

13 emails at once? Is this really necessary?

    What do you mean?

Click them all so they go?

Is that what you mean by thread updates? Threads you're watching which you get an e-mail about when there's a new post?

Some of them are just ones I've posted in which I'm no longer watching.

Some haven't even had any new posts.

It seems like it's a weekly thing that's done regardless.

For example I'm watching the Male Fashion Thread but I've never once had an update about that and I never go in it.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe you're automatically watching threads. Under "settings" there's a default thread watching mode, maybe check and see what that's set to. Or check your watched threads under community --> watched threads as that could be set to weekly.

    Mods, it's got to stop.

29 thread update emails. Some were duplicates. I cannot notice a pattern, some threads were ones I posted last in, some weren't. Some were threads with new posts in, some weren't.

Please remove me from your mailing list.

Are you certain that you have no watched threads? You still have automatic thread watching with email updates enabled - as above, you need to change this and then change your settings for any existing watched threads.

I have watched threads but 1) I like that feature because if there's a new post I can go to the thread and 2) some of the updates are from threads not on my watched threads list.

You may want to change your thread watching mode if you don't want to receive emails - one of the options will still place a notification of new posts in your 'watched threads' widget but no send emails.

I can't see your watched threads list, but make sure that you check all pages of your list to ensure that you don't have any set to send emails.
