I'm not sure really, I think I'll put down Oxford/Cambridge as one of my options just as a long shot because you never know, they might like me others I'm thinking about are warwick and ucl/icl but to be honest I haven't got a clue at the moment and theres quite a few I need to look into. Do you know where you want to go yet?
Ha haha I was thinking about oxford ... Other than that texas and m ... Car/ge mellon ,and maybe some in india.. I was also thinking of garvard .. But I highly doubt that

I did this question in school, its a right bastard, my teacher even had trouble on it. Its the wording in the question, it says "The rate at which the fluid flows in m^3min^-1 is proportional to the square root of V." This means that the water isn't flowing into the cylinder, they're talking about what the fluid is measured in as it is flowing out of the cylinder. You understand? Therefore it is going to be a negative constant you work with, after manipulating the equation in terms of "K" you should be able to get the answer they're looking for. I hope that's helpful

Have you not done volumes of revolution? You just have to use the formula : V= \pi \displaystyle\int y^2 dx as you're given y in the question.

It should be, i have a feeling they're gonna put in a proof question in the c3 exam, maybe the sums or differences of sines and cosines, i would recommend learning them. Also, do some solomon press papers as well, the questions on those papers are a bit harder than average, if you can master them you'll fly through the exam

I agree, Integration is doing in my head!!!

Supposedly we finished the course today, now it's revision - or rather in my case learning it all from scratch.
