Before I bumped into this article I had heard that people used to do this years ago by posting ads in papers and always found it hilarious and totally gross.

My personal opinion on the subject of the article is that I'd be comfortable doing this with socks but maybe not so comfortable doing it with dirty knickers... I certainly don't think it's immoral. I don't understand. Why would people want to buy used underwear? Underwear is hardly an expensive garment (it can be purchased really cheaply) so even if the previous wearer had only worn it for say 1 day - most people would not be so desperate as to buy it just because it was undervalued relative to fresh underwear in the shops.

It's not as though you have to discard your underwear every few days. Supposing you could only wear underwear for 1 day and had to constantly keep buying new ones, I can understand the logic of buying used underwear for people. But otherwise it just doesn't make any economic sense.

I've bought underwear from an online store before. Getting a pack of 5 boxer shorts is fairly cheap. I don't think most people would be so short of cash that they choose to buy a pack of 5 used ones just because there might be a 50% discount.

They obviously have a fetish for dirty underwear.. So they're willing to pay for smelly knickers. Obviously you sell them for a lot more than what they cost. For instance.. I could buy 5 pairs of sexy knickers for £3 each and spend a day wearing each pair, putting them in plastic bags at the end of each day and then sell them online for £20 a pair + postage and I will have effectively made £85 without having to do any actual work whatsoever.

I guess some men obviously like the smell of gone off girly goo soaked knickers lol and I guess different people smell different so they probably find it quite exciting trying to imagine what you look like from how you smell.. It is a little bit odd but I can kind of understand it I guess. They probably wouldn't feel comfortable asking women that they know in person for their dirty underwear so they obviously buy it online instead to keep everything discreet and anonymous.

I think you're being naive if you think there are substantial numbers of people who want to wear other people's dirty underwear rather than just buying their own, because:

a) used underwear is going to be more unhygeinic than fresh underwear
b) compared to most items of clothing underwear is considered as an 'essential', so is relatively cheap. I don't think anyone is so impoverished that they are forced into buying discount-priced used underwear from someone because they cannot afford the cheapest fresh item in clothes shops.
