Thank you sosososo much! I really appreciate it, do you have any holistic studies and their explanations? I know Farrington, Thigpen are holistic but i cant find information on holah about how the different factors concluded their behaviour?! xx
No problem, and I'll try looking through my notes later on for the studies

I think it will either be questionnaire or observation

    I really hope so!
I can't imagine they'd put correlation 2 papers in a row, but it's not impossible.

apparently they write the jan and june ones together,so its quite unlikely

My best guess would be behaviourism or psychodynamism. Social came up in Jan (for the second time), so it's unlikely to come up again.

Observation has never come up... Perhaps it's time. Or maybe OCR will try to play another trick on us.

I wouldn't really class observations as 'nice'...
To be honest, I really like correlation I'm gonna practice observation questions anyway, just to make sure. Experiment is the only realistic other option, and they're pretty straightforward.

I really really hope we don't end up with two debates/issues for section B. Praying for behaviourism

Also, for section A, a really useful acronym I learnt was RSVP MME
    R- Research method
    S- Sample
    V- Variables
    P- Procedure

    M- Measurements
    M- Materials
    E- Ethics

Hope that helps, coming from someone who always forgot to get all the details in, it's pretty good :p:

I usually use: A Medical Doctor Sees Several Medical Procedures Everyday.
    Aim
    Method
    Design
    Sample
    Sampling technique
    Materials
Procedure (a bit unimaginative, I know)
    Ethical considerations

We've basically got all the same stuff, but I came up with that ages ago, and it works!

    Is self-report not likely?

I guess so, questionnaire came up in Jan 2011, but it's still possible.

Not that OCR like making patterns, but they've gone experiment (Jan 2010), correlation (Jun 2010), questionnaire (Jan 2011), experiment (Jun 2011), correlation (Jan 2012)...

OCR don't like to be too predictable, so I'd guess maybe not wanting to fall in to a pattern, they wouldn't put self-report.

My friend said it absolutely right when I told him I predicted half of the questions on G543 - you can become predictably unpredictable. Or maybe OCR are trying to pull one over on us, and they WILL fall in to a pattern just because we don't expect them to. Or maybe that's just what they want us to think... Gah this could drive me crazy.

My rationale is that observation is on the syllabus, so it should come up eventually.

Lol, yeah I'm sure they will try to catch us out somewhere.
I just hope it's not by doing correlation again, that's just harsh.

Its the same with individual differences! But that came up in core studies this year, which makesit less likely!

Well a deeper analysis shows me that the comparative question in Jan was comparing the social and individual differences approaches. Perhaps they wouldn't put it straight away again. Or perhaps they would.

In short, I'm going to find a pattern to this exam if it kills me.

Tbh they make out like there isn't a pattern but for the g543 health, every june there has been a measuring stress, and every jan there was a managing stress, and that happened again this year, which followed the pattern! I'm always looking for patterns aha, but i have a funny feeling it will be cognitive approach

I would love the cognitive approach! Through my teacher said that it is perhaps unlikely because examiners are absolutely sick of EVERYONE mentioning Loftus and Palmer in the question about describing studies.

Psychology as a science is one I like too, but there was a question on that in Jan, so it's unlikely. I'm hoping for behaviourism. I really like the studies, and to be honest, it's the approach that I most agree with.
