IB results
Hi everyone, I would be very grateful if you guys could help me please.
I was wondering whether UCAS sends my examination results automatically to my firm and insurance universities? My IB coordinator did not know and when I called UCAS they said that they do, but it just doesn't make sense to me how the get the access to my IB exam grades if they don't have my candidate number and password?
Thank you very much! -
Re: IB resultsyour grades get sent by your IB coordinator to UCAS who will send them to the unis(Original post by Annie-Bananie)

Re: IB resultsoh gosh now I'm worried as I've heard it is too late now to register for the copy of results to be sent anywhere.. why would UCAS tell me that I don't have to do anything(Original post by Superwoman)
your grades get sent by your IB coordinator to UCAS who will send them to the unis

Re: IB resultsThe school should automatically register you! that's what my school do. I think its best if you talk to your coordinator again and call UCAS if he doesn't help you(Original post by Annie-Bananie)

Re: IB resultsI guess it's because I'm the only one applying to uk from my class, so the coordinator knows nothing..(Original post by Superwoman)

Re: IB results
Even if your school's messed it up completely, IB results are so far before A-level results that there's more than enough time to let unis know manually if you really need to.
EDIT: This suggests you shouldn't need to do anything; I imagine the 'if you have agreed' refers to something in the application process.Last edited by dbmag9; 07-05-2012 at 18:33. -
Re: IB resultsunfortunately I haven't seen anything like this in my application process, but when I called them, they told me that everything is done automatically.. But I am not sure if it really is, since I've heard so many different opinion. Thank you very much for your response, I guess I will call them anyways to make sure they got my results/ didn't get them.(Original post by dbmag9)

Re: IB resultsCall UCAS and explain that you're an independent non-UK applicant and ask for advice. If your school's IB coordinator hasn't done anything, then the process will most probably not happen automatically - our coordinator (I'm also non-UK) went around asking for our UCAS IDs to get sent to IB. UCAS should be able to advise what to do but I think essentially it will be letting the IB know to let your unis know your results, as soon as it can be arranged after the results are out.(Original post by Annie-Bananie)

As dbmag9 correctly pointed out, though, you should hopefully be fine as IB results are a month before A-levels - but do sort it out now so you don't have to worry in July/August. -
Re: IB resultsthank you very much for your advice, I really appreciate it. I am going to see my IB-coordinator tomorrow and then I will definitely call UCAS. once again, thank you!(Original post by logiadoevus)

Re: IB results
You do need to agree to your results being sent, and since neither you nor your school know about this then you won't have agreed. If you read this it may help. There used to be a form on the IB website to fill in, but they've redesigned it and I can't find anything.
