Hiya ive also applied for the social science foundation year, just waiting to hear back about an interview. I don't know much about the interview process but as long as you're confident in why you want to study at Leeds you'll be fine good luck x

You applied for the one at Leeds?

I'm hoping it's just a very straightforward informal interview.....but everyone can dream ha.

Thank you, and good luck to you too.

I had one of these interviews in January and it was quite hard i felt haha was asked pretty specific questions e.g. what kind of class do you think you are and what do you believe about your ethnicity? All though if your just confident then I'm sure you will be accepted the interviewee was so nice too. Probably see you next year as I start in Sept 2012

I have got an interview for this course shorty also. Someone told me they do a CRB check (police check) for this course. I haven't got a criminal record, so I obviously have clicked 'no' on the UCAS application, but was wondering if i would still have to pay to get this CRB check.

Have you heard anything from the university regards of a check?

    Hi

Know this is an old thread, but I've got an interview for the Social Science foundation year without any tests in a few weeks...

Has anyone got any advice on the interview or examples of the sorts of questions they're going to ask?

I'm doing it to get on International Development in 2014, my personal statement was all around that and going to cram the L301 text book a few weeks before!

    Cheers

    Hiya

im over haf way through the foundation year now and i love it!

Dont worry about the interivew, mine was so laid back. Questions were just the usual like "why do you want to do the course" and "why leeds" etc. Fingers crossed for you
