    By the way, left.
Not as far as I'm aware. That's why the election of Hollande has been somewhat of a surprise. Take it you haven't studied the rise in prominence of fascism following the Wall St. Crash?

It's a general trend, not an absolute truth. Generally, parties pander to the public's longing for economic stability and job security and they fall for it. The irony, is that under the Nazis, for a period, Germany had near-full employment.

France now in Socialist hands...USA under Socialist control...we already have a Nazi Pope...and now Greece lets a 'little bit of hitler' back in.

Am I the only one who sees what's coming?

My theory is, the wealthy elites have a plan to flood non-white immigrants into white countries, which would than cause a backlash against immigration by the general public. Then the Neo-Nazis come along and vow to stop all immigration and the public accepts, allowing the Nazis to regain control of not just one country this time, but all white nations, giving them immense power to create a one world dictatorship.

On the plus side, maybe they will stand up to the jewish central banks who already control the government via the financial system. David Cameron is just a puppet and nothing is going to change until a genuine candidate emerges to say: 'screw the bankers, we are not paying back any debts'.
    Hitler said that.
    Hitler was a nazi.
You seem to be anti nazi.
What are you really :spank: .

Yes, that's exactly the plan. It's called Project X. Our plan has been foiled!
And we would have got away with it, if it weren't for you meddling kids.

What are you trying to point out? The Nazis themselves were elected to be the biggest party in the Reichstag...
Everyone makes such a big hoo-hah about the far right being elected, but they've just as much legitimacy as any other party in a democracy.

Oh, I suppose. Although the shift has definitely to the left in Europe at the moment.

Labour's recent results here, France, even Greece. (Yes, far right parties have made gains, so have left ones).

Except the Golden Dawn (.aka nazis) in Greece believe in a Judeo-Christian society, which includes Christian AND Jewish culture (bear in mind Greece has less than 15,000 Jews). Therefore they're not exactly nazis, they're more against Islamic culture and immigrants from other poor European countries (like Bulgaria or Slovakia)
Nope, Xrisi Avgi are pretty much crazy ass anti semitics, hell even against the more Mediterranean looking Greeks too. The whole "judeo-Christian" element, or rather, Orthodox, is relatively recent in the broad scale of things and the group has long been associated with weird neo-Hellenic pagan traditions and the like.

The National Socialist German Workers' Party has seats in Greece?

And yeah, it's pretty stupid of you, OP, to call the pope a Nazi because he's German. Racist.

Is the Pope not Polish? Always thought he was.

I don't disagree that (very recently) we've seen hints of a movement back toward the left, but nothing that would constitute a broad shift of governance just yet. All over Europe, gradually, since late 2007, governments have seen more right wing tendencies and only recently have we begun to see signs of a possible movement back. Although Hollande's win wasn't a truly emphatic one, it was, one could argue, a symbolic one.

I think one of the reasons for this fledgling left wing resurgence is because, despite the mandate of right wing governments to keep the economy under control and promote jobs, scarcely have their tactics been effective or as effective as the people would like.

Also, on the Labour mid-term successes, it's a certain indicator of dissatisfaction with the government, but I was talking to a friend who's really clued up on British domestic politics and he says that significant losses for the incumbency are fairly common in mid-term elections. So I wouldn't necessarily say that was indicative of a left wing resurgence in Britain, just yet.

John Paul II was Polish. Benedict is German and was part of the Hitler Youth when he was younger.

Umm how is the USA in Socialist control?
And the pope was drafted into the Hitler Youth. I'm pretty sure he didn't have any choice.

Could it be perhaps a tin foil hat induced rant?

OP was citing Obama's socialism as similar to pre-WWII Europe and the rise of the Nazis. That was how I saw it in any case.

"Those who can make us believe in absurdities can also make us commit atrocities" - Voltaire

There I've finally done it - I've made myself seem a pretentious prat on TSR

To be honest I think this is probably more of a protest vote by the Greek people rather than an actual vote for Nazism in Greece - somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the previous government, and other parties, all pushing for the austerity cuts which were having massive damaging impacts to ordinary greek people?... I think in the political and economic atmosphere where you hear of kids being given up to adoption groups and so on because their parents can't afford to keep them anymore that it's pretty obvious that stuff like this is going to happen.

The other thing to keep in mind also is that even out of the % who voted (which may have been low or high, honestly I don't know...haven't been keeping track of the news recently what with revision), they still only got between 6 and 8%... that's hardly alot.

Do you know how many central banks the Rothschilds own?

Every country in the world accept North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria and Sudan.

As evil as Nazism is, it's nowhere near as bad as Zionism.

France was also "socialist" from 1981 to 1995, did the world collapsed?
