Your favourite line in music?
there is so much amazing music out there.

and surely all of us have heard lines in songs that really stand out to us!
.. so what is your favourite line in music, and what song is it from? alternatively, what is the single line that means the most to you personally, and why? list whatever songs come to mind!
i'll start with a line from 'Casanova Can Go Jump' by Blue Sky Summer:
"Dance with me, but mind my sleeve; that's where I keep my heart."Last edited by ziziii; 10-05-2012 at 14:01. -
Re: Your favourite line in music?
I say Charles don't you ever crave to appear on the front of the Daily Mail
Dressed in your mother's bridal veil?
The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths
I'm spellbound, oh ... but a woman divides
And the hills are alive with celibate cries
These Things Take Time - The Smiths
Sir leads the troops
Jealous of youth
Same old suit since 1962
He does the military two-step
Down the nape of my neck
The Headmaster Ritual - The Smiths -
Re: Your favourite line in music?
'I've been down and I'm wondering why, these little black clouds, keep walking around with me, with me'
Stereophonics - Maybe Tomorrow
'Running, down corridoors through, automatic doors, got to get to you, got to see this through. First night of your life, curled up on your own, looking at you now, you would never know.'

Re: Your favourite line in music?
"I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing" Manic Street Preachers "Faster" always sticks with me.
"I noticed you, you stuck out like a sore thumb, the most beautiful sore thumb I'd ever seen" The Maccabees "About your dress" it's such a sweet line.
"Well now, I ain't no hero, that's understood, All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood, With a chance to make it good somehow, Hey, what else can we do now?" Springsteen "Thunder Road"
"Someone gets excited in a chapel yard and catches a bouquet, Another lays a dozen white roses on a grave" Audioslave "Be yourself" Particularly prominent to me as it represents that moment when you feel the world should stop to be sad (like after a death) but it just carries on turning.Last edited by StillIll; 12-05-2012 at 00:48.
