Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)Never let a birthday be a terrible one. If your results are good, use it as an excuse for extra presents. If they're not, let people spoil you by giving you extra presents(Original post by PatrickD)
Name: Patrick
A-Levels: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Religious Studies
Firm: The University of York - Chemistry, Biological and Medicinal Chemistry (AAB including A in chemistry)
Insurance: The University of Nottingham - Medicinal and Biological Chemistry with an Assessed Year in Industry (ABB including chemistry)
Fun fact: Results day happens to be my 18th birthday so it could be a brilliant day or a terrible one!
As for me I've already had my two birthday presents off my parents, only two months early

Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)
Name: PierceBrosnan (Jamie).
AS Levels: History, Politics, English Literature and Philosophy
Applying to study History and Politics Joint Honours.
I failed AS before but I feel that I'm really going to succeed now and get into a good university. (One with AAB entry requirements) I hope. -
Name: PeaceLoveKindness (can call me Peace, PLK or whatever xD)
AS Levels: Maths, Economics, History and English Lit
I hope to study Economics with Finance in uni!
I finished all my exams today it's a scary thought knowing that theres literally nothing I can do right now to change my grades! On the plus side it's calming to know that I don't need to revise anymore.

Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)Time it so you're there for just his bit and then go home and work? Or take work with you and some earphones and find somewhere quiet to study during the hurry-up-and-wait bits that all dramatics include?(Original post by madders94)
I'm having a revision crisis. I want to go and see my boyfriend do medieval re-enactment today. My head says "NO. YOU MUST REVISE". What should I dooooo?

Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)
Name: Alex
A-levels: Biology, Sociology, Spanish
UCAS: PPS (politics, psychology, sociology) at firm (A*AA *cries*)
I'm bricking it for my exams because I'm terrified of not getting the A*. There's no way I can get it in Spanish as it's my weakest one (and my speaking exam didn't go well enough) so I'm aiming to try and get A*s in bio and soc. Here goes :/ -
Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)When you're happy you revise a lot better, so go and revise when you get back, even if that means in the night. If you don't go you won't be able to get a lot done anyway because you'll be wishing you had gone!(Original post by madders94)

Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)
1 exam down, 5 to go. After cramming for 3 days straight for unit 2 Physics, I had no idea how the exam would go, that was until I woke up the morning of the exam feeling very lucky. I stood up and started getting my stuff ready for the exam when I saw something under a pile of sheets which turned out to be my bus pass that I lost about a month ago and had searched everywhere for it. Then when I was in school waiting to go into the exam, someone walked past talking about spring constants which was in the exam and my friend said 'What! I haven't revised that!' so I explained the whole topic to her in about 60 seconds and when I was in the exam I turned over the page and sure enough, there was a question all about spring constants.
Also none of the topics that I find hard came up, which was the reason why I did badly in that exam last year, so a bit more luck there. Luck or just some sort of higher power controlling everything?
Either way, I hope I'm as lucky on the days of my other 5 exams

Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)
I went to the castle in the end, it was brilliant. I alternated between watching my boyfriend getting his head smashed in with swords (and occasionally winning but he prefers to lose
) and doing my revision in the shade and it was great
and I had his company at some points between the shows which I wouldn't have had without him.
EDIT: Neg? Seriously??Last edited by madders94; 26-05-2012 at 17:24. -
Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)I think we have a serial pointless neg rep-er on the loose.(Original post by madders94)

Re: Official AS/A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012! (16th August 2012)Seems that way. Whoever it is, their neg rep is completely pointless because it didn't take any points away from me(Original post by Pi!)
