Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!ye.(Original post by Contrad!ction.)
I thought I'd quote you in (you're Yr 13, right?) so you can join in this year
the 2011 thread was a bit mixed so it was hard to tell AS from A2 and resit applicants because you had people that said 3 scores for AS and not 4. :/ -
I feel the same one of my teachers isint even qualified to teach a level apprently!(Original post by Ari Ben Canaan)
Actually, my exams begins a few days time and my teachers don't even understand half the syllabus. Bunch of clowns that they are.
When's your first paper ?

Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!
This thread makes me feel nervous, even though I went through it last year. And it's so weird. Where the hell has the time gone...I was never so nervous in my life as the night before. Listened to the whole of my favourite album, went to sleep (dunno how), got up at half 5, shaking like crazy. I mean there was so much at stake last year with the fees. Nailed my results...good times. Good luck all :')

Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!Only 3? You must have caught us at a bad time.(Original post by cz100)
Oh dear nothing sends one into panic more than seeing the results day thread...
Last year's thread was unreal, you write a post and by the time it's posted it's about 3 pages after where you were.

Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!I know, I was in it, top poster in at least one thread(Original post by im so fresh)
ye.

This time my posts will be of the PANIC! variety. -
Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!I'm thinking about doing that too. I really like some aspects of physics - but I'm worried that they'll make me do all the stuff I don't like. I'm more into particle/quantum stuff. (neutrino anomaly(Original post by Benniboi1)

Same A-levels too - how are you finding them? -

Mine too ):
I mean that's it. No more chances right? -
Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!That's basically what I'm thinking and I've enjoyed Maths this year a lot more, want to make sure that there will still be some next year(Original post by Contrad!ction.)

I have to self teach FM, so that's been interesting.. It has made normal Maths seem straight forward
Physics is good when I forget that there's an exam in a few weeks that I need to do well in
how about you?

Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!Well, gap years

I'm really unmotivated at the moment, I seem to be unable to get work done. 9/83 past papers done at the mo.
I sort of enjoy it more, but I'm not a fan of some of it - 'use this formula right here to get this answer, please'. Hyperbolics(Original post by Benniboi1)

Ah yay, high five on the self teaching. I taught myself the AS (joined late) and then got into the lessons by dropping chemistry, but I decided to teach myself other modules anyway.
Yeah, I was struggling to grasp the concepts because I have to know why things work - when my teacher says 'oh, it's undergrad level, I can't say' it gets a bit worrying. What is a magnetic field? Like, what actually happens? That sort of stuff. I know what it does, but how does it do it? -
Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!Love self teaching(Original post by Contrad!ction.)

you get a lot more out of it imo, I feel like I know more than the teachers some times
I did chemistry last year and absolutely hated it with a passion
Nice one! Which modules have you/are you self teaching?
Ohh I know, don't even get me started on Electromagnetic fields.. Thats my main worry for next year to be honest, that they will assume we have a better understanding than we actually do! -

I'm top by a country mile in the last thread, probably because that is when i started to get nervous
-
Re: A Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!I sort of do, but I tend to ignore all of the explanations and just do the exercises (book's crap) so I don't really know why what I'm doing works. Last year, I did M1, S2 and FP1, this year I'm doing FP3 and I did S3 in Jan. Which ones have you done?(Original post by Benniboi1)
Love self teaching

It seems that the papers don't really test physics understanding that well, just sees how well you can guess numerical answers
I posted most in the 2nd or 3rd thread, I believe. I don't think I posted as much around the last thread or two.(Original post by sr90)
