Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!I didn't even try RS - I looked at the timetable, saw who was teaching it and dropped(Original post by Catherine.)
Haha, that's brilliant! Sure, try before you buy
You must start your exams really late! I've already had three, and mine are over on the 31st of May!

How were they? A2 exams seem to be predominantly June. My first's on the 16th and then there's a gap until my A2 exams that start on the 1st of June (FP3, shudder). -

Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!Oh my gosh, that's genuinely terrifying(Original post by sr90)
That was my firm last year. Good luck, it's a cracking course.
Just don't expect any leniency. I was 2 UMS short due to coursework moderation (had AAB) and they still said no
how can I control coursework moderation?! Ahah

Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!
Name: Jazzeh
AS Levels: History, Economics, Law
A2 Level: English Language & Literature
Dates: 15th, 18th, 22nd, 25th, 30th and 01st
One done and dusted; goodbye my sweet Tudors. Economics resit on Friday, which I only discovered today when it was. Though it was a bit later, which is awfully worrying. till got most of the knowledge in my head though I think so not too bad.
Absolutely quaking in my boots about History's second exam and the law exam, to a lesser extent. Most pressure on the English exam in a way though, as that's my main chance of an A*.
Haven't revised nearly enough but, meh, never do unfortunately.

I wanted more study leave (and more toasties!) But it's been quite nice, because it gets them all out of the way!
That's CCEA for you! Hehe(Original post by Contrad!ction.)

Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!So true. I had my practicals last week, finish all the science papers next friday, then it's C4 on 1st June and then M2 on 14th June. Could go on a week long holiday in that time.(Original post by Catherine.)
Nope, just CCEA (Northern Ireland board)...ridiculously early!
That's CCEA for you! Hehe -
Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!I'm really happy where i am now but i wouldn't wish that experience on anyone. I knew straight away i was borderline because i needed stupidly low marks to get an A in my other two subjects, but i couldn't collect my results for another 5 hours after checking track :|(Original post by xoJessicaAnn)

As long as your UMS for AS Levels are good and you have revised properly for this year you'll be fine
I'm really pleased with how i did in A2's but looking back, i probably could have resat an AS paper to gain a few more UMS.

Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!
On the subject of holidays, I have a week up in Scotland with my friends planned going all over on the
So that'll be fun and a great motivator
Oh and since others have their exam dates up
Business: 21st May(F292) and 14th June (F295)
Pre-U Maths: 24th, 31st May, 1st June (Last Day of School
but also
since I miss out on all the non lessons that are happening)
History: 12th June
Still finding the maths terrifying...

Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!
I'm actually quite nervous for university because when I finished school I was like "yay, freedom, college, being treated like adults, fun!". And it's felt like two more years of school, just with free lessons (a lot of free lessons
), no uniform or bells, and feeling a little bit more adult. Now I'm like "Yay, university! Freedom, being treated like an adult, fun!". And I'm worried it's going to be like three more years of college
That said, I am looking forwards to living away, even though I'll miss my family lots. Thankfully my family and my boyfriend go shopping to my university city frequently (it's the nearest place to do any proper shopping) and it's around an hour from home so I'll be going home a lot to see my boyfriend

Re: A/AS Levels Thread/Results Day Thread 2012!Отлично! I tried to teach myself the Russian alphabet the other day then remembered I have too much Spanish to learn.(Original post by Catherine.)
I am absolutely going to learn Russian over the holidays.

and a week's actual holiday for my 18th, it's only South Wales with family and bf but I'm dead excited
