I'm a glutton for punishment. Signed up for info on the Great Manchester Run next year but I'm wondering if I could spend my summer distracting myself from results by training to run 13 miles by October 21st. My little brother was born October 21st '97 and I could do the Great Birmingham Run for Sands, the charity for families who lost babies on what would have been his 15th birthday.

I really really want to do it!

That's loads of time. You could probably train for a full marathon in that time if you do it correctly. Research it a bit and then make your decision
