what kind of hairstyle did you do for your prom or a big dance?
    Hello!
I was wondering, what kind of hairstyle did you do for your prom or a big dance? Did you wear it natural ? If so, what did you do with it?

I went with large loose curls (few extensions), with a small section brought back and secured with a hair clip with a few diamonds on to match the diamonds on the dress.

It looked all the more nicer (more shiny and fresh looking) because I had dyed it 2 days before prom itself.

I had my hair curled and pinned up. It looked amazing but it was a bit too bridal which made me feel a bit like lamb dressed as mutton :/ I wish I'd given it more thought beforehand.

My hair was really short when I had my prom. I just had it like this:

    Curled and left hanging loose.

Loose curls in a half-up, half-down hair style.

Curls with the front sections pinned back a little off my face.

I had my hair curled, backcombed and then put into a messy bun, with it all off my face, and then I had a small flowery slide just above the bun

So many people do curls. My hair is naturally curly as anything, so I straightened it and found a pretty hair clip to match my dress and jewellery to take it off my face and make it look 'done'.
Everyone had a compliment which was nice

My hair is naturally straight, so I kept it like that (ran a flat iron over it a couple times just to make sure it would stay), then braided a section at the front and pinned it back with a jeweled clip.

Like this, except the braid was a bit thinner and it stretched further back.

I've purchased a strapless, beige/peachy short cocktail like dress for prom in july.. I read quite a few responses from youtube tutorials that girls wished that they had worn their hair up instead of down.. can someone give me some ideas? I have medium length hair

For my sixth form ball, I wore it in a sort of messy bun with plaited sections at the sides.

I was going for this sort of thing: http://stylebinge.ocregister.com/fil...braid-updo.jpg

It didn't look anywhere near that good, but I was surprised it didn't completely fall apart.

I did this but the bouffant was neater and I back combed the sides a little too so it looked fuller.

I used to bouffant my hair all the time and have it in a pony tail (I love pinup and 50/60's fashion) so I just decided to have my hair down which I never did much at the time so that was my sort of "big change", I think that hairstyle looks good on anybody pretty much, and I had red lipstick on, I flicked my eyeliner so it was cat like as well. Looked really nice.

If you don't flat iron any other time then surely you can make an exception for the one night of prom?

A picture of your hair would be SUPER helpful cause I really don't know what to suggest without seeing it

Also I recommend you get some Morrocon oil, it's like £30 for a decent sized bottle and it will last so long, i've not used a quarter of mine and have been SHARING it with my mum since January, using it every day, it'll make your hair feel so soft and smooth and it'll look healthier too
