Is the large asian population a decidedly noticeable thing in birmingham?
Im at manc at the moment. There is a fair few asians here too but I hear it is 'asian invasion' in birmingham.

Now is it a very noticeable factor wherever you go in birmingham or not so much being such a big place?

I mean I was told when I moved to manc rusholme was the main asian parts in manc and once you get into the centre it is just cosmopolitan like usual.

So if its cosmopolitan in the city centre like any other city then I wouldnt care however if it was like 'indias second city' as some ppl have dubbed birmingham then it might cause me to think again of moving there.

PS Im trying to keep things as 'politically correct' as I can just wanting to know for my personal preferences if Im thinking of moving there.

Err it's not too bad in the city centre, quite 'cosmo' as you say Manc is.

There are certain areas which are a little too brown but you could probably avoid them without suffering at all, they're unimportant regional pockets, mostly residential.

I've lived in Birmingham all my life, it does the multicultural thing pretty well. I must ask though, why does it matter? And as for describing places as 'a little too brown'! I don't really know what to say lol.

It's not asians that are a problem in birmingham, just the pakistanis.

Pakistani's are Asians, and I find that offensive.

Yes, if you are a student in birmingham it will not go un noticed.
