[QUOTE=yl95;37593357]So for that cubic graph question, in the working, I put 'draw x=5' even though I drew y=5 on the graph and wrote down the correct answer, would Edexcel deduct a mark?

No they wouldn't . You get a mark for drawing the line.
And then another for the solution
    It was only two marks

Dude I swear the histogram question was something close to 20% and you get like 200 something people. The only possible way to calculate the percentage is by counting the squares which is really really stupid.
    It's 18% and 200

Ah, ok then that will be fine. You'd still get all three marks

For this question I did volume of 2 spheres + volume of empty space = volume of cylinder. Please tell me whether this is right or wrong.

Because when I solved the equation like that I yet got r=2.5. So my method is right isn't it?

    It's right.

Hey I actually blame them for not being clear enough. if they would have written "THAT is not occupied by the spheres", I would have done it right. But, they way they wrote it, it means "WHEN not occupied by the spheres". I was hoping for an A*.:ashamed:

Think about it logically, the volume of the cylinder contains 2 spheres and empty space. Therefore the volume of the cylinder is equal to the volume of the 2 spheres plus the volume of the empty space.

Rearranged : Volume of cylinder - Volume of spheres = Volume of empty space.

A* won't fall to 79% but I think it will be 81% like Nov 2006

Someone else can also solve the paper, for it's not necessary for only Kaur to solve them. Anyone out there can as long as you do the answers now! I'm anxious to know if I'll get an A or not?

I'd be willing to solve it but it would take quite some time to upload it. Is there any point in doing the last 10 or so questions that are supposed to be harder and uploading those?

Please answer all questions as if you answer all questions it will help the 2013/2014 candidates in the future if they're stuck when doing our past papers. Also, answering all questions enables us to calculate the final mark will get for paper 4H. It's okay if it takes time; you just solve the paper man

Guys find maths paper 4H of May 2012 edexcel igcse exam attached. Kaur is currently working on the answers and the answers will be uploaded in a few hours. Hope grade boundaries are low for this year as the papers weren't that easy; however, 4H wasn't that tough though. Please guys make me a "respected member" give me a rating. It's really hard work getting this paper guys.
    thanx alot broda
