I am assuming you are a male.

My parents are about the same heights and I am around 5'7". I was fully grown (heightwise) by about 14 but that is unusual for a male. Many guys continue growing in height until they are nearly 20.

Unless your mother or father are particularly small in their families - it is unlikely that you will grow any more than a couple of inches taller. It isn't the end of the world though.

Then it is significantly unlikely that you will grow much taller.

You are already quite tall based on your parents heights.

The weighted sum of your parents heights is less than average thus one would expect that their kids would be of slightly less than average height whereas you are already slightly above average height for a woman.

Why are you so concerned about being taller? Is it for some kind of sport?

I'd just like to be taller. Not for any particular sporting reason.
I feel short that's all really.

Do you think I could make it to 5ft 8?

It is pretty hard to say without knowing a lot more details but assuming that non of your grandparents or siblings are much taller than average, you would have to say that it is unlikely that you will grow any significant amount taller.

Get a pair of high heels and forget about it.

You are above average height for a woman anyway. I don't know why you would feel short and even if you did - I don't know why it would bother you.

I mean, I am a grown man and you are less than an inch shorter than me yet I don't 'feel short'.

What's wrong with your height? It's taller than average.

You can grow into your mid-20s. I went to see a podiatrist the other day and in conversation with her she told me that I'll probably have a growth spurt at around 20/21 (I'm 19).

Your height sounds fine to me, I'm not even taller than my mum yet. My mum is 5 foot 2 3/4, my dad is about 5 foot 11 and I'm 5 foot 2 1/2.

Personally I stopped growing at 16 at 5'11.5 think I was 5'11 at 15, I'm 20 now and haven't changed. but one of my friends grew about 3 inches from age 17 to 19 so it just depends really!

The majority of females stop growing when they hit 15/16.

At 5'6½" you're above average height in the UK anyways which is around 5'4"..

5 foot 6 1/2 is about perfect for a woman - why do you want to grow more? Do you have lots of very tall friends??

Those later growth spurts are much more common with guys. I have a good mate who was 5'8" at a push when we were 16 yet by the time we were 21 he finished up about 6'5". There was one stage where he seemed noticeably taller each time I saw him.

Girls tend to find a height by 15 or 16 and stick with it.
