Which channel should my Philips TV be on to see Samsung DVDs?
My mum has a Philips TV and a Samsung DVD player. Both work fine. I have just put a DVD in, and I can see it playing, however I cannot find the channel or screen I need to be able to watch it.
I have pressed the AV button and can't find the DVD option, but it's obviously plugged in as it's playing the DVD
As far as I can tell everything is plugged in. Any ideas?

Re: Which channel should my Philips TV be on to see Samsung DVDs?OK, I have found a cable from the back of the DVD player that isn't connected to the TV(Original post by mfaxford)
Depends on how the DVD is connected to the TV. It may be on an input with a name like HDMI, Composite, External, RGB. You might just need to try the different sources and see what works.
Would it have to go in the back somewhere ...?!

Re: Which channel should my Philips TV be on to see Samsung DVDs?We got Virgin Media a couple of days ago and I think the guy might have replaced some of the DVD connections with the Virgin box(Original post by mfaxford)

If that's the only connection it's using it's likely to be an AV or Composite connection (or possibly called Ext or External).
If both the DVD player and TV supported HDMI then that's a better thing to connect with but the Yellow, Red and White cables should work.
