question about the Open Degree

Hi, I'm looking at the open degree right now mainly for the reason
that I don't want to waste 90 points on level 1 courses (or even more)
because I feel that I'll know most of the material.

I want to study courses from physics, math and biochemistry.

I'm a bit scared though about the "Open Degree", cause I don't know how
employers will look at it, when you finish your degree and you get the diploma
does it actually list the courses you've taken or will it just say "Open Degree"
and look pretty lame?

Personally, I wouldn't. Some employers will be confused enough as it is by an OU Natural Sciences or Environmental degree. An 'Open' science degree will be even more confusing. And you can't be sure that some employers will be bothered enough to try and clarify what your degree consists of.

I appreciate the opinion, but mostly I want to know what the diploma looks like,
if I have the courses listed it might be worth it in order to skip some of the
courses I don't want

As far as I know it says 'Open' on it and doesn't list what you've done; it'd be down to you to tell employers about what you actually studied. I may be wrong, but that was what I'd understood.
