    Hallucinations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've recently had what I think are hallucinations in the space of a week. The first one i experienced was on the tube, it was very packed out and claustrophobic ( I'm not usually claustrophobic). I turned my head around and screamed because I thought a terrible looking face was staring at me (the face was literally nose to nose). That lasted a second because I'd turned my head away from the face but when I looked back it was just a man's arm.

The second thing i experienced was at night and i'm not so sure if I had dreamt or really done this. I was asleep and I turned in my sleep and opened my eyes to see a big black spider on the wall. It startled me that I jumped out of bed (which I remember clearly), turned the light on and saw nothing on the wall. I remember worrying about the spider crawling over me, but I went back to sleep. It's not the first time that i've experienced a spider hallucination before, once I was in bed and felt a spider very quickly crawl up my leg, I had to change my clothes because I was so convinced there was a spider in my clothes but I shook them well and nothing came out.

I'm not really sure what kind of response i'm looking for, maybe just some advice or if anyone has experienced weird hallucinations before?

Also, I've been sleeping late but I have been sleeping plentiful.

    Thanks for reading

The second thing is probably just you dreaming/being half awake, i've had things like that before.

The first time is a bit stranger though, were you tired at the time? like kind of dozing off? might just be a sleep thing.

It's possible you're suffering from sleep paralysis - Google it. Apart from that I would suggest seeing someone if they start to persist or affect you!

I was with my friend at the time, casually having a convo, I might have been tired I had finished uni.

Hallucinations aren't neccessarily anything to worry about. Your brain's very good at creating them even in very normal situations.

I have hallucinations when I wake up all the time and sometimes when I'm falling asleep. (They're not necessarily associated with sleep paralysis; I've had sleep paralysis once before and it was really scary, but the hallucinations I get don't come with any of the other symptoms of sleep paralysis. They're pretty normal afaik.

I'd probably say I get them a little more frequently when I wake in the middle of the night, but I also get them when I wake up in the mornings as well. I don't think much of them any more (except 'oh, another hallucination...'). I occasionally get a bit of a fright, like I woke up a while ago and there was a figure looming over me and I jumped out of bed and had to turn the light on and check inside the wardrobe. I do notice I get them more when I'm sleeping a lot though (probably because your sleep cycle gets messed up more). I find them interesting more than anything.

I've only ever hallucinated once. Some man was standing in my room shouting demented things like "I'm gonna get you" .. scariest moment of my life.

my brother had the exact same spider hallucination as you did!

Except hes 28 and ran out the bedroom and his wife told me she was lying there and thought he was trying to protect her from a burgular. In the morning when he told her he thought they were being attacked by a giant spider she wasnt impressed

Sometimes you tend to see something which isn't their and is represented as something else e.g the arm being a face due to fast moving your eyes see a smudged image and it looks like something which it's not, don't worry this happens to most people-maybe not the screaming but i sometimes see things which are something else.

The first one sounds like your eyes/brain misinterpreted what it was seeing as you were turning, and the second one sounds like classic hypnagogia.

Definately nothing to worry about unless they get worse or become persistent and bothering.

These don't sound like proper hallucinations so I wouldn't worry OP. I agree with everyone else, the first just sounds like your brain misinterpreted what you were seeing and the second is a very normal thing that happens when you are drifting in and out of a sleep state.

I have had things that were approaching or rather were hallucinations before. When I was on medication I began to feel very spaced out and the walls started moving. I also suffered from sleep paralysis for a while and that caused all kinds of delusions because I was half asleep. Also I have had the spider crawling up the leg thing. It is normally just a twitch in the leg or the like that your brain misinterprets.
