    9th May Deadline
When it says the deadline is the 9th of May is that before the 9th of may so 23:59 tonight, or at the end of the 9th of May at 23:59 tommorow.

It means on or before 9 May. Deadlines generally include at least part of the date given.

    I am slightly worried...

I've already accepted my firm choice, and I got a confirmation letter and everything, but I still got an email that says 'Deadline 9th, action needed!'...

Is this a email that they have sent out to everyone or what?

    Just read this on FB

If you have a reply by date of the 9th of May, you have until the end of tomorrow to make your decisions.

    Many thanks,

If you look around TSR many people have received that email in error. It's a stupid thing for whoever sent it to do, and I strongly hope they will be shot.

The deadline is 11:59pm tonight. They encourage you to do it before 6pm as that is when the help service will close down and candidates who have problems between then and midnight may lose their offers. Not everyone's deadline is today, of course.

Thanks - and the 7 day rule?

You can amend your reply, once, within a seven day period but that isn't a mechanism you should be anticipating, or planning, to use. A good rule of thumb in life is never to wait until the last possible minute before taking a required action and that certainly applies to anyone who has not yet taken this action.
