Medicine at ExeterDoes anybody know if Exeter will look at your AS result when giving out conditional/unconditional offers? I've messed up my modular exam really bad and thinking of re-doing it next year along with A2. My predictions are AAA though. Anybody, please?

I haven't started yet, but from what I know, they use PBL and lectures to deliver knowledge. They also have life sciences classes where they learn anatomy by apparently drawing on each other sometimes, and using plastic anatomical models.
Anymore questions?

ahh that's annoying about the pbl thing, their website says cbl! haha
but i suppose it might not be that bad, i'm just worried if i will actually be bothered to work if i'm not forced to

It is case based learning, which is basically the same as problem based learning and the same as structured small group learning. CBL=PBL=SSGL
But you dont learn anything in PBL it is for guidance and consolidation, the learning is done in lectures, clinical skills and the life science sessions. you have cleared up a lot of confusion! :P

Are Exeter heavy on GCSEs? As in would 4A*s 7As be okay provided i get a decent Ukcat score? -
