Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guilty
Internet troll (I think actually he mainly made his threats by email) Frank Zimmerman has been found guilty of sending an electronic message that was ‘grossly offensive or of an indecent, offensive or menacing character’. Amongst other threats, he threatened her children - "‘you now have a Sophie’s choice. Which kid is to go? Who will you choose?’"

I hope he gets a good stiff punishment. Everyone is heartily sick of people making offensive and disgusting threats and spreading lies on the web, even on forums like this one.
He not only is a troll, he even looks like one!

Re: Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guiltyTbf, the media at large has absolutely no clue about what trolling is(with the exception of perhaps RIP trolls), and seek to completely demonise it, when trolling is harmless. What was done above was outright bullying(Original post by TheSownRose)
Do DM actually know the meaning of 'troll'? Threatening to kill someone's children is not trolling...
On the upside, real trolls now know what Muslims feel like. These comments are the top two worst rated

This isn't what trolling is.And the worst rated "worst comment"(Original post by Andy, Liverpool)
I wish the media would stop calling this trolling - it simply isn't. Trolling is posting controversial, inane and often bizarre comments (usually under the guise of ignorance) in order to create a mass provocation. Simply threatening to kill someone's child is just being insulting
(Original post by Anonymous, England)
These people aren't trolls. They're just people with nothing better to do. Trolling is usually fun and tongue in cheek when done correctly. Not making death threats. Government and the Mail need to learn what trolling truely is. I troll in games such as Battlefield3 where you kill people i stupid ways where everyone laughs. I don't make death threats ingame.
Something like this would be trolling

And Collegehumor have a humourous video on trolls as well, and it kinda shows the definition of trolls as well

Re: Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guiltyI think he threatened by twitter as well and ranted about her in forums and stuff, but many media (not just the DM) seem to be using "troll" in this way now, as in anyone who makes threats or says nasty things using the interweb.(Original post by TheSownRose)

Re: Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guiltyYeah, there's an element of Gandalf there. I wonder how many repetitive trollsters on TSR are actually similar to that guy, both in age and looks?(Original post by Nephilim)

Re: Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guiltyYou troll you.(Original post by x_Natalie_x)
Looks exactly what you would expect a Tory-hater to look like. These people are so ugly behind their Twitter and Guardian accounts. -

Re: Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guilty
I hate Louise Mensch and I thought this was a terrible overeaction. You have to draw a line between 'trolling' and 'writing death threats', but come on! It's on the internet! If you can't take offense on some virtual, non-existent, non-spacial dimension where you will probably never meet anyone then you shouldn't be on it. I don't like our government's approach to the internet censorship/intervention.

That's not trolling. This is trolling.
My favorite is No. 4 -
Re: Internet Troll who threated Louise Mensch found guiltyYeah, right, because everyone should be perfectly free to email death-threats to anyone and that should be fine, because it's the internet.(Original post by Kiss)
