Re: NEVER Give up- Motivational video of the day
I was just about to give up on statistics lol.
Back to work I go. If a formerly disabled obese veteran can lose 100 pounds of weight and learn to run and do handstands in less than a year, I think I could get an A in statistics with some solid revision. And we all can. (Of course if you don't do statistics, you are included nonetheless...) Good video!
At the point where he started running, I just kept clapping my hands like a seal lol...truly inspirational...Last edited by SuziieB; 09-05-2012 at 17:41. -
Re: NEVER Give up- Motivational video of the dayExactly. If you truly want something, you can achieve it.(Original post by Crimmicy)
That is a inspiring video, taught me I need to change my lifestyle and that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and work hard for it
I was thinking I might post a motivationa l video every week if people find them helpful.
Heh, that is cool that it made you revise(Original post by SuziieB)

Re: NEVER Give up- Motivational video of the dayIf you're talking about S1 or S2, yeah don't give up. I broke down and cried a week before my S1 exam because I thought I was stupid. Everyone else was saying it was so easy and I just didn't understand it. I wanted to do maths at university too, if I couldn't do it now what hope could I have at university?(Original post by SuziieB)

I tried my hardest but I got a C. I was actually pretty proud, but I needed to do well in it. I tried again and still got a B. An improvement yes, but it was a low B, and I still didn't understand what was going on.
Then I got to university, and I shunned statistics in my first year because of my horrible experiences at A level. Then I thought, you know what, I didn't push myself far enough when I did S1. I needed to prove to myself that I could do this. I ended up getting 91 on my second year probability module.
Moral of the story: doesn't matter how **** you are at something at first. "Constant practice devoted to one subject often outdoes both intelligence and skill." It isn't eloquently phrased, but it's true.
Now I really must stop procrastinating, I have an exam tomorrow.

What an amazing man
