Person number one in my opening post who values facebook popularity and presenting a certain kind of 'fashionable' image.
Oh ok. Do you fit into category one?

I wish I'd have put my Student Loan in a high interest cash ISA before the interest rates were dropped way down instead of spending it on student accomodation.

    Which do you choose?
Clothes but substitute it with Alcohol as that is what most of my money goes on  don't get me wrong, I buy a lot of clothes but 65% of my weekly budget is going out/alcohol

I think it's silly people spend it on clothes/alcohol etc because university is a really great way of learning how to handle money for later life. Blowing the loan on lots of new clothes and nights out so you're left with nothing decent to eat, to my mind, is a bit irresponsible. Balance is key.

Buy a few clothes before you go (you're applying to uni, not Britain's next top model). Then budget: rent, bills (phone etc...), food, house keeping, going out & clothes.

You may have clothes but scrounging is NOT attractive
