Re: So today the year 11s were crying.
I cried when I finished year 11, it was the end of an era, and I suppose it had also been a long overwhelming day, so I got home and just started crying!
I then woke up the next morning, and thought 3 months off, going away for a month, wooo going to be great!
Although I'm finishing sixth form at the end of this month, and I know that I'm going to cry my eyes out
I can't wait to go to University, just the idea of finishing school, and this time it's forever... :O

Re: So today the year 11s were crying.
I look fondly back at the last day of school. Our year had a pretty close knit community, and we knew each other well. Our sixth form is relatively new, so the vast majority moved onto new colleges, sixth forms etc..
I miss some of the people, they were awesome. As someone previously mentioned, the communal feeling of secondary school is really better than the crappy sixth form one.
Ahh good days. -

I was quite happy to leave school I hated it really - I did a levels at college though. Although I miss the lack of responsobility and just genereally not having that much pressure on me. I don't even realy talk to my school/college friends anymore since uni you end up meeting new people and making proper friends I think.

:O our sixth form don't leave early this year, we leave with the rest of the school.
I didn't cry when I finished school. We ran up and down the train home getting people to sign our shirts and books and cheering, even though most of my friends went on to different colleges or sixth forms. (our school didn't have a sixth form so most of my friends went to nearby ones and I went to college because it was closer than any sixth forms to me). -
Re: So today the year 11s were crying.
Year 13 leavers lunch on the 25th. I will have less than a hour there because of my French exam in the afternoon.
What can I say? The year 11s celebrated the end of an era on a boat for several years in a row while us sixth formers just sit and have lunch on top of the school terrace.
It's going to be pretty emotional. I never really see my classmates after I graduate school (except the odd chance encounter every once in a while) I am Facebook friends with most of my previous classmates but I never really talk to them and they mostly don't keep in touch with each other much either.
I'll be glad when I leave my school because I always really showed up just so I can attend lessons and get feedback on my homework for sixth form. Secondary school was really fun and there were good times.
Bring on the new era!

Re: So today the year 11s were crying.Same here.(Original post by TheatreLovely)
I didn't go to my last day in year eleven because I was in France.
My last day of year 13 is in eight days' time and I really couldn't care less, I feel miserable at school and can't wait to leave.
Just can't wait to get to University and begin some actual learning. -

sorry. Our college tried to do that but no-one turned up so they finished on the 16th June, by which time I'd already gone on holiday

Today the year 11s left school for exams, and on Friday Year 12s leave woo
.
Anyway, they had an end of year assembly with performed dramas, and a video presentation of pictures of the students from year 7-11. They were all emotional, signing eachother's shirts and saying their 'final farewells'. And then on Facebook you'd see the "Today was so sad status".
"OHMYGUDZ I'm neva gun c u again xoxox
"
Why were they so upset?
You'll see them during your exams.
You'll see them on Results Day.
You'll see them on Facebook.
You'll see them when you collect your GCSE certificate.
You'll see them in prom.
You'll see them when you go to Sixth Form, which the majority of you will be going to.
They just like the drama, I guess. I certainly wasn't crying on the last day of year 11..or perhaps thats just because I'm a bit of a grump.

Because admin put it there thanks to the increasing amount of pubescent losers that fail to realise this is a place for university students rather than high school kiddies. Now go out and live what's left of your childhood. Shouldn't you be out drinking and getting laid?
You're a year older than the original poster.
